I am still trying to figure out which came first: The tree or the ornaments...That old chicken or egg thing revisited.
Seriously, I am amused at the idea that Christmas is actually celebrated in the time of the Winter Solstice celebration of old. I think the most important is what Christmas is to Christendom. It matters not exact date of Christ's birth, to the traditional Christian it is important to have one day out of the year to celebrate, so why not December?
As my mates in Australia point out, it is much more convenient to do all the cooking when it is cold, it helps warm up the house.

It is The day of the year that Christians have chosen to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. The 25th December was a day of Pagan worship and the Christian faith used that day as it was already a holiday and save having to declare another one. It is now more of a celebration and worship to the gods of over indulgence, taking and alcohol. The true meaning of this Christian festival has by and large been lost. Even the atheists, Sikhs and Muslims celebrate Christmas.

Well...even though it is not the actual day that Christ was born...it is the day of the year that Christians celebrate the birth of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gifts that we give to eachother are in the spirit (a reflection) of the gift that God gave to us, which was his son Jesus Christ. Although, I do believe the enemy has gotten his hands in and tried to take the focus off what this holiday is....not only for Christians but for all...so sad that people get in deep financial debt, being very confused of what the season is about. After all the gift of Jesus is free.

confident i'm, and that i will inform you the type to do it. Make a catalogue of those to whom you provide presents. whenever you spot something inspiring, which you purely comprehend they might like, purchase and supply it to them. do no longer look ahead to some custom to tell once you may coach your friendship. What I do is make the present a mix birthday/christmas latest. I try this as quickly as a 12 months for people who're significant to me. as quickly as human beings get to comprehend your approaches they settle for this beautiful good. Your present would be slightly greater noticible because it is not masked out by using all the hoopla. I even try this for my grandchildren because of the fact having some presents during the 12 months is relaxing for them. They get so wound up and over drained that they do no longer comprehend who gave them what for christmas. each little thing is lost contained in the shuffle around christmas.

It is supposed to be the celebration of Christ's birthday. Now political correctness turned it into some form of winter celebration. Why Christians cannot celebrate a holiday is beyond me

It's that one time of the year when the shops bleed you dry and the family all get together to argue over the most stupidest things.
