It would get healthy again. At this time humans are a plague on the planet.

No, actually, it's a big ecological nightmare of unattended nuclear power plants that would melt down all over the world, unattended oil and chemical stores that would eventually spill from their containments, even biological warfare agents that would eventually be unleashed in the inevitable decay of humanity's engineered infrastructure, untended power stations and utility lines would cause fires that would destroy forests and prairie. And, so on. The global ecosystem has begun to dramatically change and, whether or not humans were in attendance, in reality these changes are so profound as to completely alter the world's compendium of species of plant and animal so that in a hundred or two hundred years, this planet's biological composition will be unrecognizable and be an entirely new symphony of life. If the meltdowns don't hinder the process too much. To be honorable, we humans need to hang around long enough to do right by this planet that we have sullied to possible ruin.

If man were gone, some other species would be dominent. Not saying they would create the chemicals we have or nuclear problems. They would instead KILL off all lesser species, and without man here to count them and protect the weaker ones, where would the earth be.One species left over a million years. This is a greenpeace activist theory and talking point. We are not hurting the planet as bad as they say we are.Look on NASA's website and see.The Ozone layer is repairing itself, the air quality is getting a little better.Hey,even horse and buggy days were good, but man, them Horse FARTS are rough.Ask anyone whose ever ridden in a horse drawn carriage.Whew!!The light problem we can solve.Turn off lights at night time in these big businesses that are not necessary, car lots,GUILTY.Office Blds,GUILTY.Our homes do not cause light polution, nor do your average street lights.Step 10ft away and see a beautiful star lit sky.Yes WE can correct this problem,TURN OUT THEM LIGHTS at quitting time.

    nothing would change,

    1/ we all die

    2/ the dinosaurs come back

    3/ evolution produces man

    4/ man invents the wheel

    5/ religion etc

6/ modern man invents the internet

    and on the seventh day...

someone asks"What would happen to the Earth if humans became extinct tomorrow?"

It would probably be a better place. Humans have ruined it. Having said that, I suppose we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that humans are a creation of nature, or God if you wish.

The Earth could only benefit. Very few humans do anything to benefit nature. It would cleanse itself naturally and prepare itself for the next onslaught of evolution......
