The rug you are thinking of is probably a Flokati or a lamb's skin rug. Both are very thick and natural looking. Lamb's skin is softer and flokati, which is hand tied in New Zealand, is more textured. Lamb's skins are sold at Costco and I have purchased flokati at World Market and Bazaar. Both should be available for purchase on line. Expect to pay between $100 and $300 for a good sized rug.
