What does it mean when you aspirate a butt of a dog?

I've never heard it put that way, actually, except by the previous questioner. The correct term is to express the anal glands (or sacs).

All dogs have two anal glands located on either side of the anus. Normally these glands are evacuated (emptied) when the dog has a bowel movement. It's part of their individual scent. They also can express these glands when they are frightened or in an aggressive mode.

Sometimes, for various reasons, the glands do not empty normally and must be manually expressed. It is my least favorite job and produces the most horrible smell you can imagine.

I personally would recommend letting the vet (well, his/her techs, actually) do this job! If you want to do it on your own, have one of your vet's techs show you how. It helps to have someone else in the house available to hold the dog while you do the dirty work.

locating the anal glands. there are two tear shaped ducts at 4 and 8 o clock right below the anus. This is the dogs scent glands that are usually full of a gooey liquid. These anal glands can not be seen unless there is a problem and they are inflamed/swollen.

It is expressing the anal glands. They are located just inside the anus, and can get full of a stinky brown fluid. It can cause irritation when full. Plus, if they express them on you carpet or any other soft surface, it is really hard to get the smell out.

It means they are expressing the dogs anal glands.

If what you're asking is what I think it is then that would be expressing the anal glands.
