Honeslty, making voting mandatory, would take away the right we have to choose to or not to vote! If I were writing the essay, I would use the Bill of Rights, and also point out that people who are forced to vote would just go in a choose names, and could care less who they are voting for, there for not makeing the election process fair!

It seems sort of redundant. By giving people the right to vote we are therefore giving them freedom and a chance to voice that freedom. Yet making voting mandatory would take that freedom away because it would be forcing people to do something that they may or may not want to do and that goes against the whole concept of voting.

Also with mandatory voting, will you really get the will of the people? What happens when the people are apathetic and make stupid decisions?

    Good luck with your essay!

we should not have a mandatory voting system because i goes against the bill of rights and may go against the Constitution
