Right now, no, they can't. All sides feel they have too much to fight for (and they do) and they will not be able to come together and be a single nation until the most important issues are resolved, especially the question over Kurdistan.

Didn't the US go through a Civil War themselves before solving their problems? They're adults, of course they can handle the responsibility.

No. Iraq will never be i united democratic country. The best & only chance is to split it 3 ways.

Only one way to find out! Let them try. Ask yourself if the USA is responsible for them, or are they responsible for themselves.
