To make it clear...christians please.?
I've heard a lot of commentary and questions about how much christians have actually studied their faith. I have. I wasn't born again in a church. It was on my face realizing what a mess I was. I believe there is a good deal of christians who have studied their faith at great length and ...AMAZINGLY, they still believe. Not only that but their faith is validated again and again. How many christians have actually studied? It can be anything from the bible in general to christian apologetics to creation science to prayer etc....Just curious.

...I was involved in an evangelical church (it was a Bible church), in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. In those days, this church equipped us in many ways - in evangelism (with opportunities to witness), in apologetics, in discipleship (getting ourselves and others grounded in the faith), in biblical counseling (solving life's problems using the Scriptures and learning what God says to do about them - confronting ourselves and then helping others), and in children's ministry; we were encouraged to discover and use our spiritual gifts and natural abilities, also.
...I have been a Christian believer for 28 years, and have read the Bible through a few times and have memorized 10 or 12 chapters of various lengths (1 John 1-5, Romans 1-5, Hebrews 11, 1 Corinthinans 13) and many individual verses. This assisted me in meditating on His word.

I am always studying. Sunday school every Sunday we study a book at a time. Right now on Sunday nights I am taking apologetics SO AWESOME and really helpful. Here is a web link if anyone is looking for something to listen to http://www.springbaptist.org/homemain/adults/apolo...
We are getting ready to study the apologetics of creationism. Then I just finished Beth Moore's study of Daniel. How could you not be amazed by the glory of Gods prophesy being fullfilled? The more I study the more I want to study. Studying is a way to strengthen our faith and allow us to better spread the gospel. If we study the bible in conjunction with things outside the bible that are accepted by secular society as truth we are better able to reach people.
Good Question!!

Me too, I was born again at home. I studied 2 years at moody bible institute, and while I am wondering about some of the issues like prayer, holy spirit annointing, God's will , etc, I do still believe in the basic concept of salvation through Christ, we studied at length the whole plan of salvation and it really makes sense to me for more than 25 years now. People are really against the concept of original sin, i think that's what makes it hard for a lot of people to believe.

I have studied the History of the Bible, all the things, councils, way translations were done, etc. about the Bible.
Ive studied the historocity of Jesus apart from the Bible.
I have studied the Bible a great deal.
I am becoming more and more educated on evolution,
I have studied many of the different church denominations.
I still believe, and my studying has only drawn me closer to my belief.

I have a BA in Religious Studies. I study Christian theology on a regular basis, I read a lot, especially mystical theology. I also read things by holy men and women of other religions as well. I am a Christian, but always a Seeker. Just like Harry!

I came to G-d in desperation, and Have studied since and faith re-affirmed.
My uncle is a good story, very smart and rich businessman. Went to a Bible study as an athiest to prove it wrong. 2 years later when it was over, he was born again. He is a mathematician, and the odds of all the prophesy fulfilled was so astronomically ridiculous he believed.

I studied for years on my own. At age 30, I studied with Jehovah's Witnesses to prove them wrong. After 7 years of that, I studied for another year to become one. Now I continue to study diligently to be the best representative for God that I possibly can.

I have studied a whole ton of Christian stuff, though I could certainly use more.
Lots of young Christians who have grown up in church have learned a lot but don't study much now because they find it boring.

I study and Pray every day. I have found a pastor that translates from the original languages and it makes sense now. I have a great peace and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Peace out.
