I'm crazy about Irving's completely unique style and his weird, weird views on sensuality. I think it might be because of his sexual abuse at the age of 11. I loved Garp, Cider House and A Prayer for Owen Meany. I've also read The Fourth Hand and it was ok, but one character (Doris Someone) was not rounded off, silly and inconstant. I thought he became bored and was disapointed.
These are only personal opinions, not something of the web. Crucify he who copies and pastes. Why no, I am not referring to the above "please-give-me-10-points" answer. Solong.

I did but lately I've found his work very disappointing. I loved "The World According to Garp" and "The Cider House Rules," but "The Fourth Hand" (2001) and "Until I Find You" (2005) were abysmal.
