Parole Absconder in Michigan?
My friend was arrested for his second felony, possession of a small amount of heroin. He has had a drug problem for many years. He did a year of prison time for it and was released on parole. He screwed up his parole by testing dirty, and missing meetings, and he was sent to a low-risk jail trusty camp for 120 days.
About a week out of the trusty camp we found out he was back to smoking crack and doing heroin, and a week after that we found out he was absconding from his parole.. What happens to him now if the police catch him?

he will be held at first in a parole detention center pending a hearing on his parole, At that hearing the judge will determine if he should continue his parole or camp or if it will be revolked and he will be returned to prison to do the rest of his time. ( if he had lets say 5 years parole, he would serve those 5 years in prison instead now)

I even have understand human beings to try this, I knew a guy who 'flew the coop' with 30 days left on a 7.5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days sentence.. i don't get it. what's going to take place is a contravention of parole. he will probably go returned and "max out" his sentence , it is that if he replaced into sentenced to 4 years and had 2 years left to go, he will end out the 4. If he in basic terms had 2 months left he continues to be in a great jam because of the fact he particularly escaped from the government. Absconding is a criminal offense , so he will get carry of a sentence for that, too. generally this incorporates approximately 5 extra years.

Comment by fr-Chuck is similar to what happens in Virginia.
Virginia has a well known reputation (not sure about your state) that they go after absconders. Our Dept. of Corrections has a special unit that focuses on just that issue. And they use some integrated databases to search for people that contains information from each state in the nation.
About 3 years ago, there was a much publicized case where Virginia was contacted by New York because NY had arrested someone for drunk driving. The guy was wanted by Virginia. The guy had skipped out of Virgina over 30 years ago. Virgina went and got him AFTER he served his time in NY.

whatever happens while he's doing what he wants to do is up to him!!!!! When he gets caght(which he will!)you'll feel the brunt of the assault at first because he's angry at the fact he's in captivity and the drug isn't his mistress anymore!Whoever the petrson is you'll have no control over even if it's yourself!!!!!!!The only way anyone is going to quit their routine is by intervention by law enforcement or death;Truly this is what I think and now realize as an addict for over 10 years!Don't turn your back on them though!!!!!!!! They will have more ressentment for anyone who turns away from them(even though you tried your best !)they WILL HATE YOU!!!! Let them go , bust them , do whatever you have to before you lose your love to THEIR LOVR!!!!tobywilhite@yahoo.com
