when do i start counting?
i already asked this question i know but didnt really get any helpful answers, i dont know if maybe people didnt understand so i'm going to word it differently!
i'm trying to work out when my period is due, i'm on day 43 of my current cycle, so far, since coming off the pill in october i have had one period which started november 9th. my previous bleed was during my final 'pill free week' on the pill which ran from sept 21st to 27th. after the pill free week i took three pills from a new pack before deciding to try for a baby. what i want to know is should i start counting my (first) cycle from sept 21st, the start of my last pill free week, sept 23rd, first day of bleeding, or october 1st, first day off the pill? or should i ignore the first cycle altogether as i had just come off the pill? people have suggested i should have got my period after 28 days but as mentioned earlier i am on day 43 now still with no period. got a neg test on day 35, will test again on sat (day 45)
but dont even know if my period is late yet, if i count from the start of my last pill free week my cycle could be 49 days long. would just like to know when i should start counting so i can work out when my period is due. also is a 49 day cycle ok or should i go see my doctor about it if it is that long?

Jen, you need to start counting from the day you became Pill free.
Anything before that will be affected by the pill. Good Luck

Your cycles are going to be nuts because of the pill. I would just keep testing every few days until you get a positive or your period.
I would keep into account the first cycle but note the issues you have with it.
Its going to be hard counting and knowing when your late because you just came off the pill.
Continue to do everything normal and if this really bothers you this bad go see you doc for some blood work!
Good luck!

So, any birth control messes up ones system. Once you stop it your probably not going to be able to get pregnant for at least a couple months. It need to work its self outa your system. as for you not haveing a period yet that is kinda strange unless while you were on it you didnt get your peirod and them well that would be normal. If you didnt get your period while on it them as soon as your get your period being free of birth control you can start to assume your system is now returning to normal and you can start monitoring it. It can take longer to get out of ones system as well the longer you have been using it. Compare a woman using BC for 3 months verses a woman using it for 3 years. But once your cycle returns you can track it on this great site. http://www.mymonthlycycles.com/home.jsp Ive been using it and I love it mainly because its free and doesnt assume that everyone has the same cycle. I would have never known when I would ovulate without this site.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

I think the best thing you can do is seek professional medical advice. I wouldn't even know how to answer this question and you're probably just going to get ridiculous answers from most other people.
