This is where you are wrong. The world owes me everything. They owe me a job and a good paying one where I have to do little to receive my paycheck. They owe me housing. In fact, they owe me housing and a paycheck once I injure myself at work or otherwise and begin receiving dis-ability benefits. They owe me food or food stamps or whatever you want to call it. Feed me, wipe me, burp me!
They owe me when natural disasters (God) strikes and my home is destroyed. Why should I have to pay for my own insurance if you're dumb enough to pay for it for me? I'm pretty smart aren't I?
They owe me special (rascist, sexist) programs so that I receive special treatment in applying for work, loans, starting a business and sending my kids to school. The rich, because I hate them so much, owe my kids schools money because I'm too lazy to create a business and earn my own way.
They also owe me health care coverage because, well you know you dummy. I want the best medical care, latest drugs and surgical options available and I want you to pay for it.
My parents are just as lazy as I am. They need income too because they were irresponse-able to take care of their retirement financially. It's not that they can't still work. They just don't want to.
I want Social Security and Medicare to be there when I get older too so I vote Demonrat just like my parents. We like to go to our local soup kitchen, dressed in our worst clothes and make you feed us everyonce in a while. Christmas is fun because we get treated like royalty. It beats McDonalds all the time.
We also like to participate in public demonstrations. We learned we could whine and talk about how we are discriminated against and how our ancestors were enslaved. Because you idiots are the suckers you are you'll give us anything we scream loud enough for.
Thank God for the Demonrats and people like Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Pelosi, Schumer, Feinstein, Boxer, Biden, Byrd, Durbin, Feingold, Harkin, Leahy, Levin, Osama, er, I mean Obama, Harry Reid, Rockefeller and that fat old drunk...Kennedy. I don't know all of them but I'd like to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the neat little programs you guys push through to make my life slicker than a cat covered in olive oil.
Please copy this and send it to everyone you know. So we can have more programs to help the little guy like me so I don't have to do much with my life besides whine.

Practicing the religious aspects of Wicca, or other Pagan traditions, can be very healing for someone suffering from depression or other mental illnesses. I would have no problem celebrating a Sabbat with someone who had a mental illness. They can celebrate the seasons, commune with the Gods, no problem. And the loving support of a spiritual community, such as a Coven, Lodge, or Grove, can go a long way. However, the Magickal and initiatory practice is quite different, and this goes for all Neopagan and Occult traditions, not just Wicca. It would really depend on what their mental illness was, their attitude towards the practice at the outset, and the support of their therapist. Magick demands realistic expectations, and an ability to keep your perspective and maintain your grasp on reality. The path of the Initiate is a deeply psychological process. It demands a lot of personal work, a lot of looking within and facing things about ourselves we may never want to face, facing our personal Shadow. The goal is greater wholeness, and the realization of your True Self, emotional and psychological wholeness and balance. This is a very powerful, very healing process. But it is very demanding, and it isn't for everyone. Without the proper guidance, if you loose your perspective, an otherwise healthy person could go a little nutty in the process. In some Occult/Magickal traditions, the initiate is encouraged to undergo psychoanalysis as part of their Magickal education. So, if I person has a severe mental illness -- such as schizophrenia -- I would not recommend initiation or deep magickal study. At least, not without the support and guidance of a licensed, qualified, Pagan-friendly therapist.

sigh. I will take the time to point out the different logistics of handling a storm when you have historically been exposed to blizzards, have a smaller population, and are in a rural area. For instance- New England gets blizzards- they put on their tire chains and move on. Florida gets two inches of snow, and things shut down.
You are also basing your assumptions of events based on various news reports. If you do more research you will find things clarified.

Amazing. These nutcases get a little snow, and they compare it to a hurricane that destroyed hundreds of thousands of houses and businesses.
That's idiocy not based on race, but based on political affiliation and religion -- both of which are proven to be forms of mental illness. :)

Wow you have really got it off your chest haven't you? I see what you mean but i also think that you are being a bit harsh on certain people. As a wise man once said "there's good and bad in everyone".

Yeah,,well,,some races would be extinct by now if we didn't take care of them,,evolution they call it. Maybe we are the ones with the wrong ideas.

after reading that I can well believe mental illness would affect more people than you think....or end up with a mashed brain.
