I need a really good speech to be student council president?

"I have a dream. I have a dream that one day, detentions will not be handed out to students. I have a dream that one day, teachers will be required to be nice to students. I have a dream that one day, tests will be simpler and easier to understand. I have a dream that one day, bullying will not be a problem. I have a dream that one day, I'll be student council happen. Make my dream come true, and I'll make yours come true."

or something like that. Tweak it a little.

A list of talking points to keep you on track is suggested .

Like open by thanking everyone and telling them you will keep it short but sweet .

Then let people know what you plan to do that qualifies you to be the head of the council .Past dealings with council members is helpful in previous projects that where successful .Show how you where able to make the project a success and keep things on track and remember to acknowledge the help others provided in the past projects .

No one should become President because of his or her popularity but rather the preceding work and contributions you made an how future projects rely on your innovative talent and leadership ability . You have to have stepped up to the plate and hit a home run or two before you can lead the team .

Keep this in mind and if you are not a leader do not bother running .

Speak from experience and your passion for being president and how you will make it the most productive and remembered student council .Get the support of local business owners to contribute to your campaign .Design a web site and market your plans before the speech so people are familiar with your plans .

NEVER write out a rehearsed speech. A person who doesn't from his heart according to the reality of the moment is not qualified to run for office, whether it be student council or a politcal position in the adult world.

Why must you be like the sea of all alike? Can't you be different? Can't YOU be the one who will be qualified to run our country some 25 years from now?

Look, try just one time doing nothing for this month, and get up and there and start talking. It's called being genuine and it's a lost art in today's world. You can become valuable and rare if you can acquire it.

You need to focus on issues that will market yourself to the entire student population. With that said you make that your base of the speech and then put in humor (not too much) to keep your audience interested. It boils down to what you can do for those students that your opponent(s) can't or are unwilling to do. Find out the issues from other students and what they want and prepare your speech based off that. I can tell you that you will be a step ahead of your opponent(s). Good Luck!

What are your motives that is a good starting point for such a speech and may give you some insight as to whether you are the right person for the role.

Can you contribute more than others or is it just the prestige you seek?

If you have nothing to offer then maybe you should rethink.

say that you are going to help your class. you will give them dances, hat days etc.. Tell them u r the best for the job, and tell why. Are you hardworking, funny suppportive, cooperative etc. Also, don't make it too boring, no one will vote for you with a long speech with big words. Try to talk and influence everyone, you are going to be the leader, so you need to know how everyone feels. Make ocassional jokes throught the speech, but not too many, that just gets stupid. Also, if u want people to vote for you, tell everyone u know. Tell ur friends to tell theirs and so on. If the students only hear one name, that is who they will vote for. Hope this helps.

State why you want to run for SCP and what you would do differently than every other candidate. Making it ironic and humorous will take a lot of work, so you better get started.
