They make a thin set glue that is not sand based. It's kind of the same consistancy of Cream cheese. It spreads pretty easy and will hold the tile there with no problem. It is also water proof. No mixing is required. Just open the bucket get the right sized Trough tool and that's about it. Go to your local tile distributor and ask them about it. They use that type of thinset alot in showers with tile floors. Also ask what type of grout they recommend for that application. the tile should set for a few days before grouting. And then for about 4 days before you can take a shower or bath in it.

First off, you dont want to use a tube of anything, tile-glues are material specific! you need a notch trowel, 1/8 in. spread. & all surface adhesion tile adhesive. spread evenly, no breaks, keep even you want nice grout-lines. use a yardstick or ruler with a thin metal edge to keep strait lines while the glue is still wet. wait 24 hrs before grouting.

If you want a permanent bond, go to the hardware store and get a tube of "F-26".
