People of faith, what giants do you battle with?

I'm coming from the perspective of identifying, facing, and conquering the gaints we face in life. David faced Goliath and was victorious. Personally, I have battled with depression at various times in my life. So my primary question is this: What giants do you battle with in this life? Serious comments, please.

I have been down the same road. My struggle was with myself. I didn't like myself because I didn't like my lifestyle and I couldn't figure out why a person like me would be loved by God. What started to set me free was I learned I had an adversary who was behind all my struggles and when I knew I was not the problem, he was, it changed my life

(Ephesians 6:12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(Acts 10:38) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

  • My giant is more of an invisible obstacle than anything. I tend to be lazy in regards to my faith. I've realized how much better my week is when I'm constantly in the Word and focusing on God. But I can never seem to get into the Word and take a break from my life. I guess I'm just too lazy. Not in the sense where i don't want to do work, more in the sense that I have better things to do. I know this is a lie from Satan, because I've never had anything better to do than focus on God. I guess my biggest battle is giving more than an apathetic attempt at my faith.

    I'll pray for you.

The biggest giant you will ever face is looking at you when you look in the mirror. David had no choice but to face Goliath after he was anointed by the Holy Ghost. Goliath was nothing to David.

David's biggest battle was with himself. He lusted after Bathsheba and murdered her husband before Almighty God and he thought that he could do no wrong. Well he found out different.

David's battle with the flesh was his biggest battle of all. Just like with Goliath David needed God to overcome David needed God to help overcome his flesh .We in ourselves have a hard time.

Ask Jimmy Swaggart and look at the many preachers who have stubbled and fell into sin thru out history since the beginning.

There was this guy on the wrestling team, like 6' 8" and 275 or so. He was a giant in comparison to me, I did battle with him. Two or three of my friends as well. The guy had alot of hart and went on to the Olympics. I don't know about " People of faith " but maybe you would do better if you did not isolate yourself from others.

Lack of Strong Faith, Love for God, Time for God, Keeping God the Main Thing in my Life. Growing in my relationship of knowing God more. Those are mine.

Giving the Battle to God, Obeying God and Leaving the Circumstances to Him is also part of my battle. Using a modified quote from Dr. Charles Stanley.

Excuse me yet till Atheism is a faith (which I even have constantly reported to be the case) it can't have a Bible, consistent with se. A Bible is the canon of a definite faith. a gathering of information, texts and letters that help one specific communities religious ideals. i'm no longer a non secular guy yet i'm a Deist. I fail to understand the intolerance of Atheists. My in straightforward terms subject with Atheism is with people who falsely declare that their place is supported via certainty or clinical analyze. this is basically, no longer the case. I get excitement from debunking this assumption made via some Atheists. yet why some Atheists sense the could desire to continuously bash religious human beings and their ideals fascinates me. perhaps you protest too lots? .

The LARGEST GIANT of them all in religion or politics which is why they are so similar they are both based on the almighty

dollar . yes the so called root of all evil that is firmly growing in the soil of ignorance is money and the war between the poor and the rich the haves and the have nots will rage on and on till the age of conscience comes to complete fruition if ever .

The battle against the flesh, and the world. For the greatest commandment is to love the lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. That is hard, because God has to be first place in your life, above everything else.

For me it's depression due to / and the lack of friends. Another giant is the doubt I have in my heart about God's presence in my life. But thank God for His Word, that reminds me "Who hopes for what he has seen?" and "I(Jesus) will never leave you nor forsake you."

And so I await further instructions from God about my life and ignore the giants. And they look at me and make scary poses as I stroll past them, with my hand in God's. As long as I fix my eyes on the giver and perfecter of my faith, Jesus Christ my personal Lord and Saviour, the road of life seems an enjoyable one to take.

As a phrase from Daily Bread put it, "Seeing God's hand in everything makes life one great adventure."

He's leading me to the joyful day of Jesus' return.

To all in the Christian faith, have a merry Christmas and remember that the reason for the season is God's gift of ultimate love, His one and only Son Jesus Christ, that all might be offered true and eternal salvation.

The peace of Christ be in your hearts. God bless you!

Mohammad. He was born in a cave, jihadist, and shat Mecca's like there was no tomorrow. Plus he would control nations that would provide the stuff that drove the world economies (oil). How can you compete with that?
