What has happened to the post office?

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Yeah right. I was supposed to receive a package (a Christmas gift) on December 24th. It’s Christmas night and I still haven’t received the package. I looked up the tracking number, and was informed that my package arrived in a town less than 40 miles from my home on the 23rd. What was stopping the postal workers from driving an extra 40 miles to deliver a package before Christmas? Is there any way to file a complaint with the USPS?

Unless it was a guaranteed delivery, you cannot do anything about it. If they paid extra for a guaranteed delivery date, then forget it. I know the mail here in Ohio was extra heavy on Christmas Eve. They got out as much as they could, but they could only do so much. Yes, they deliver their appointed rounds, but remember they are only human.

You can complain, but like the NYPD they have a 'blue wall of silence'. They will back each other up to no end to make you look crazy and send you in circles even trying to find the right person to complain to.
