  • Why do I need a special video card to use the 3D features in Photoshop CS5?

It's bad enough that the software costs almost $1,000, but now I have to buy a new video card as well?!

  • What would you say are the dimensions of this sink (see link)?

Given the options of width, depth, height, and length, PICK THREE and assign a value based on the sketches. Please give your honest first impression and don't copy other answers. I want to know which combination is the most prevalent.

  • Can anyone provide me with a detailed explanation of why my muscles are sore after exercising?

I've read other posts that refer to lactic acid build-up in the muscles, but I haven't been able to find a detailed explanation of how this occurs and why it makes the muscles sore. I've tried researching this on Wikipedia without much luck. I've heard that crystals form in the muscles and that causes the soreness, but I don't know if this is true or not.

  • When playing crazy 8s, can you play an 8 and call the same suit that is already in play?

My husband claims you can do this and I told him he's crazy. What would be the point?

  • Has anyone had any experience with earningforce.com?

This website supposedly pays you for reading advertiser’s emails and completing offers. I signed up with them a week ago, but I still haven’t had access to either. They haven’t sent me any emails. When I click on an offer, I’m directed to a site that states, “There are no offers currently in this category. Please choose another category.” They have not responded to my emails. Fortunately, the site was free to join. I just want to know if I’m wasting my time with them. If you can provide any insight, please do so! Thanks.

  • What has happened to the post office?

“Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Yeah right. I was supposed to receive a package (a Christmas gift) on December 24th. It’s Christmas night and I still haven’t received the package. I looked up the tracking number, and was informed that my package arrived in a town less than 40 miles from my home on the 23rd. What was stopping the postal workers from driving an extra 40 miles to deliver a package before Christmas? Is there any way to file a complaint with the USPS?

  • Why does God disapprove of divorce?

I recently read a question from a woman who is in a marriage that any sane person would abandon. She only stays married to her husband because God says that divorce is sinful. Her husband used to hit her and only stopped because he was sent to jail for it. He doesn’t care for their daughter at all. When she is working and he is supposed to be watching the child, he doesn’t feed her and doesn’t change her diaper. He calls her (the wife) worthless, even though she is the main breadwinner of the family. How can anyone believe in a god that would make this woman believe that she should stay with a man like this?

  • My system32 folder is missing...?

The system32 folder on my computer has disappeared. My spyware/malware remover (Prevx1) has found malware in that folder, but when I go into WINDOWS, the folder is not there. I doubt the folder has been deleted, because then my computer wouldn’t work, but I can’t figure out why it’s not showing. It can't be hidden. My settings show hidden files/folders. I have also done a search of my entire system, which came up with nil. Does anyone know what could have happened to the folder?

  • Should poor grammar/spelling be a violation?

It’s hard to understand some questions and answers because the spelling and grammar are so horrible. These kinds of questions are just plain offensive. This is part of an answer I received from my question, “Is reading bad grammar painful for you?”: “People just don't understand how truly offensive it can be! I had a manager one time who compared it to a professional musician hearing a sour note; it resonates in a negative manner. Each and every grammatical error is another sour note. Can you imagine the anguish of a musician hearing a piece of music with a majority of the notes out of key? Poor grammar is every bit as offensive to the sensibilities of an educated person as a sour note is to a musician.” I think this is a succinct analogy.

  • Why do atheists get offended by people who believe in God and vice versa?

How can someone’s beliefs offend you? I’m an atheist and it doesn’t bother me when people say, “God bless you” when someone sneezes. I don’t want the word “God” taken out of the pledge of allegiance or off of our money. Why so much hate over what we believe or don’t believe in?

  • Let's say I break into your house…?

I recently read this interesting point of view on illegal immigration:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

  • Why is "Crash" by Dave Matthews considered a romantic song?

It seems to me like it's more of a stalker/peeping tom song. Romance is the last thing I think of when I hear that song.

  • What’s the point of prayer (see details)?

I just saw the following comment on this site: “If you pray for something that is against God's will, it will not happen.” This made me think, “What IS the point of prayer?” If God has a plan for all of us, then it’s illogical to think that praying will make a difference in what happens in our lives. If our lives are already planned out for us, why bother to pray for something that is not destined to be?
