Grapes are deciduous and loose their leaves in fall. Over and under watering will cause brown leaves. When you lift the pot light = dry, aerate and water. Heavy = wet, allow to dry. Here is a little additional info, are any of these what you have?:

Wow! It's nothing for drying of fruits. In India we use the dried grapes (we call is 'Kismis') in many dishes. You can make them fluffy by putting it into water but certainly it will not taste as good as Fresh Grapes. When you keep grapes under the sun the juicy part of it evaporates and make it turn brown and small.

obviuosly a sign that the tree is way to dry. water it loads, coz grape trees needs all the moisture it can get to produce the freshest fleshiest grapes.
