what is phenytoin sodium 100mg and what is depakote er5oomg?

    I think the first is Dilantin and Depakote is anticovulsant drug but is used for Bipolar.

    Both drugs work very well for seizures.

    Phenytoin Sodium is otherwise known as Dilantin. It is an anti-seizure medication.

    Depakote (don't remember the generic name) is traditionally an anti-seizure medication, however it is sometimes used to treat psychiatric disorders, particularly mania or psychosis.
