6 1/2 weeks pregnant-- Red spotting once, brown spotting last week...?

I am so scared. I had an ultrasound last Thursday, and the size of the yolk sac, etc. was at 6 weeks--BUT the technician wasn't able to find a heartbeat, which she said was normal at this early. We scheduled another ultrasound for Friday. However, last week I had light brown discharge one day.

Yesterday, right after I told my family I was pregnant, I had about 1-2 tsps of bright red blood. It stopped, and I am having occasional brownish discharge today when I wipe only.

I have had two miscarriages, and both times I started bleeding and didn't stop. I haven't had red blood in 24 hours, but I am still panicked! Any advice/help/prayers would be appreciated!

You can always go to the emergency deparment for evaluation. I had a similar experience and went, they reassured me tremendously that everything was ok and even did an ultrasound and found the heartbeat. And they were right.....a perfect happy, healthy baby came about 7 1/2 months later!

This happened to me too right about the same time. I was very scared, but the doctor told me not too worry too much unless it was nonstop bleeding, like more than a regular period. He did have me come in the next day for an ultrasound though. Good luck.

I will send you prayer. Stay positive and just take it easy. I too have had bleeding with pregnancy . I think 50 % do. Time and patients only thing you can do. I was both time on the bad news side. I am right now going through a miscarriage. Please keep you hope up.

Red blood is fresh blood. Brown blood is old blood, you need to see your doctor, or at least call him. Good luck to you. I'll keep you in my prayers.

My sister spotted during her pregnancy, which was normal. But I think you should get checked out first just to make sure!
