How do you think the american people would react if the government brought back the draft?

I have no clue. But I would be moving to Canada if I got drafted.

Liberals would run to Canada instead of helping defend the freedom they claim to love, knowing that the USA will not allow Canada to be attacked.

Decent Americans would go help fight the muslim terrorists.

In reality, all this talk about the draft is just another Demonrat scare tactic, just like when they lied and said Republicans were starving children and old people. Our military leaders say they don't want a draft. We are doing a good job as it is, and that is what the Demonrats hate.

We already have so many people over there that should be here as it is. We have our own war to fight here without butting our noses into anothers business. We had a scare cause they are taking the draft machine out of storage and they say it is to be tested in 2009 according to fox news, but they want to make sure it works so they can set up a military base over there. Everyone I know are getting ideas on how to get out of it when we heard that. Most here are outraged that they are even concidering that. Everyone I have talked to does not believe in it. We just need to get our people home and let them sort it out. This is exactly why we were hit and why so many countries were happy about us getting hit. We are arrogant and demanding.

The war in Iraq would come to an end much sooner than it will without the draft.

They'll be some who protest, some who flee , many will get deferments, and the poor will still march off to war. I am in favor of it or an alternative national service for young people, I served in Viet Nam and am better for having done so. Those who cry out for war but are too willing to let the ther man go and fight should put up or shut up

My answer 'would' be. Just the same as it always happened in the past. The rich will find a way to buy their way out of it and the poor will pull the weight.

Probably the same as during the Viet Nam war. People do not like being forced into anything. There is no reason to enact a draft. We have plenty of voluntaries now.

They should go along with it since they have gone along with just about every other lame brained idea from the Bushies. Also, al of the guys of proper age that support Bush should be made to go first.
