If everyone hates bush, why hasn't he been impeached?

And why was he re-elected?

If there is such a resounding outcry against him, isn't our government set up in such a way that we can fire him because he 'doesn't represent us'?

Update:

Thumbs down to everybody who called me a Libral.

I'm not a Liberal.

I am merly asking a question to the majority of people who complain about him.

First of all not everyone hates him. It is only the bleeding heart liberals that seem to have an issue. If you really think about it bush was thrown into a tough decision on 9/11. Of course not everyone agrees with his actions. Gee this is what makes america what it is. Every president makes decisions that are hard.

But he has in no way violated his position in office.

Only the U.S. House of Representatives can impeach a federal officer (including the President). The people cannot impeach him. And the House is currently made up of mostly Republicans, so why would they? Even in January when it comes under Democrat rule, they will have enough to impeach, but then the trial in the Senate does not have enough votes to remove him from office (takes a 2/3 majority, and the Democrats don't have that many seats).

*Edit* - I'm neither Republican nor Democrat. I will admit I voted for Bush the first time around, but not the second. I don't think he is doing a very good job in office, but I don't believe he has done anything to warrant impeachment. And, I was also against the Clinton impeachment, and thought it was a complete waste of time and taxpayer money, just like I think any impeachment hearings for Bush would be.

That was kind of the point. When the constitution was drawn up, the government was set up ie; The Constitution with the rights of property owners in mind. The last thing they wanted as Madison pointed out was the rabble weighing in on politics. This should be left to the proper propretied gentlemen. Later in life Madison came to regret this desicion, he had envisioned honorable bankers, judges, and lawyer types. That would keep puplic interest in mind while in office. He soon became appalled and disallusioed with the ruling class as they consorted and connived to cheat and divert public funds for themselves.

Since then the people have fought and won many rights.(Bush is signing these hard faught wins away from us more and more every day) They have also lost battles. At this point in History things could never be more dangerous. Bush has too many super wealthy supporters. Between him and Cheney they have the backing of the whole oil industy. They are determined to get control of all the oil in the Middle East, even if it means going nuclear.

Did you know that at a meeting the summer of 2000, Bush, Unico representitives, the taliban, the ISI, and CIA were all at a meeting, for years now Unico had been making plans to run a pipeline through Afganastan and were unsure of Taliban abilaties to stablize Afganastan. Anyways a power sharing deal was offered to the Taliban, witch the were amvient about. Right then in the summer of 2000, the CIA told them "you take our carpet og gold or we gurantee before the snow falls in October 2001, we will carpet bomb your country with bombs?

Where to begin with the amount of misinformation contained in the question???

Impeachment is designed to expel someone from office if they have committed a crime against the people. It has nothing to do with how well liked or disliked the person in office is. It is used only in the gravest of circumstances. President Bush to my knowledge has not committed any crime.

To my knowledge President Bush may be widely disliked, hated by some, and vehemently despised by a few, but to say everyone is just incorrect.

Therefore so is the phrase "resounding outcry"

Therefore so is the phrase "doesn't represent us"

He may not represent all of us, and in fact it appears fewer and fewer by the day but that is what the election process is about and additionally why we have representatives at 'lower levels' of government. It is their job to convey our wishes to the highest level in our land.

i do no longer hate Bush! He has been between the suited presidents this united states has ever had. He went into Iraq with the approval of the liberals who all agreed with him. He took out a terrible chief. He made a metamorphosis in generals in Iraq to strengthen the conventional of existence there. He did call for regulation on Mortgages some years in the past. We did have the backside unemployment cost ever till all this mess that the liberals orcestated. Bush will go down in histroy as considered one of our suited presidents in simple terms as Truman did. do no longer forget approximately, Truman left workplace with an extremely low approval score, 18% i think of it grow to be. He grow to be additionally stated as an fool by utilising just about anybody. while he have been given off the airplane in his homestead city, there grow to be no person there to fulfill him. i understand that he might have authorized of each thing that Bush has accomplished and tried to do and so might John F. Kennedy. The liberals might kick Kennedy out at present in simple terms as they did with Joe Lieberman. John Kennedy stated as for reducing taxes too. Obama would be a ballot watcher. lots of the folk that get on the polls are liberals besides.

In reading your answers, I'm interested in understanding the difference between Bush and Clinton. American taxpayers spent millions in an effort to impeach Clinton for lying about receiving a particular sex act in the oval office. Isn't lying about the existence of WMD worse? If Clinton faced impeachment for lying, why shouldn't Bush?

Please...get off your party soap boxes...forget whether you are Republican or Democrat. See GWB for who and what he is and stop hiding behind your Republican status and recognize you have elected the wrong man into power! Do the right thing!

Because it is not everyone that hates him. About 30 percent will support the Republicans no matter what. Then there is about 10% that still support Bush because they are the type of people that will never admit to being wrong about anything. The there are the deluded idiots that still think Bush is Jesus reincarnate and will walk through hellfire to support him. Unfortunately, not enough of us, and certainly not enough with the money to actually do something about it as in the case of Bill, hate him. And as far as no crime has been committed, after an investigation, we might find that a crime has been committed.

    1) The GOP are hypocrites since they impeach Clinton for a BJ and do not impeach Bush for violations of the US Constitution which means he broke his oath of office.

    2) The Democrats are cowards who won't do what is needed.

    3) BOTH parties are too political and have loyalty to party 1st then their career 2nd, lobbyists 3rd, country 4th. BOTH parties refuse to do what is right for the COUNTRY because it might be "unpopular" or bad for their party.

You can't impeach someone just because you hate him, at least not without another 10 or 20 years of creeping liberalism.

So sorry and no regrets to the to the liberal and fringe elements on the east and left coast.
