I have a dog that chews on everything as well but I found that you could get a puppy kong or a kong for larger breeds and let them know that it is the only thing to chew other than that you would have to tell them NO and punish the dog with no treats.Another thing that you could try is a stuffed animal and tell the dog that it is there baby and that should work too.

Spray bottle: When you catch your dog in the act of chewing anything other than a chew toy. Squirt them in the face!! This works for cats 2!!

    Put up prohibited objects.

Give approved alternates. Rawhide pieces, etc.

Scold when chewing on unapproved alternates and

    offer approved items.

Treat the rest (furniture legs, etc) with a "Bitter Apple" product available from a pet store.

For objects that are outdoors or non-absorbent, you can also use WD-40. It's good for cords (phone lines, extension cords, etc) and any other object that it will not harm.

It lasts much longer than "Bitter Apple" and is cheaper and easier to find.

Well, some suggestions I have are to give it toys to chew on.. They may have a desire to chew on things, if this is the case, try to find a thing they absolutely love, and keep them with that!

She may need more to spend more time on walks, hikes, etc. Often, dogs will chew because they lack stimulation (need more outdoor time). I would couple more time outside with purchasing a Kong or a chew toy. Try your local PetSmart or pet store.

  • Don't leave things around for it to chew. Give it chew toys.

spray this sour apple anti-chew spray on all the things you dont want him to chew. you can get this from the pet store and it wont harm your furniture. also get him some new bordom-buster toys because chewing is usually a sign of bordom. a nice rubber chewy toy with a texture may be best because the texture will certainly feell nicer to his gums than your furniture!

  • spray a bit of perfume on the things you dont want her chewing on or rub some bar soap on the things it worked with my dog
