Cooked potatoes make the best candidates for freezing. Raw potatoes can be frozen with mixed results, but may develop a watery or grainy texture during freezing. If freezing casseroles or dishes containing unbaked potatoes, it's best to omit them during freezing and add them in fresh later. Cooked potatoes are excellent candidates for freezing and reheating.

Yes,
But I think it is best to cut them into medium size cut pieces and then boil them for just a few minutes- dry them off or set them on a paper towels and then place in a freezer bag- Flat.
The best thing to do- is to first freeze them making sure they are seperate from each other. Then after they are frozen you can have the bag placed in any upright position.
Freeze flat and seperate-

Yes you can however they will not defrost in manner i think you would satisfied however there is an even better solution that I believe you will find much more rewarding and more importantly appetizing. Blanche them in boiling water for roughly 4 Min's and this not only par - cooks them but as i said earlier prepares them for future cooking without losing any texture or consistency you can then freeze them down and they will keep for you no problems at all.............. Hope this helps, enjoy your potatoes when you are ready to defrost and cook them, but more importantly ENJOY your holiday..............

Yes they can. Just make sure to put them in a air tight bag..they should keep up to 6 months easily in the freezer.
Did you know that the potatoes you get in the store are up to two years old?
