Who are the real war criminals?

It is estimated that Saddam Hussein killed 600,000 people. If that is true, then he has caused the deaths of fewer people than the Bushes have.

Consider this: George Bush Sr. instituted sanctions on Iraq which denied the country medicine and almost anything else. It is estimated that 1.5 million people died because of these sanctions.

During George Bush Sr's war in Iraq, the good ol' USA used depleted uranium bombs in southern Iraq. The radioactivity from these bombs has killed an unknown number of people and still does. Babies in these areas are still being born with birth defects.

During that same Gulf War, the USA, under George Sr. targeted the water system, the electrical system and the sewer system in order to demoralize the people and start an uprising against the government.

(Additional details will follow.)

Update:

When George W. decided to go to war, he gave false evidence as reasons to go: the use of WMDs and Iraq's links with Al Qaeda. It has recently been estimated that 650,000 people have lost their lives in Iraq. (That far exceeds the few thousand Americans that have been killed, although the US media emphasizes that point.)

So isn't it true that the Bush family are the war criminals, having caused the deaths of more than 2 million people already?

I really hope that YOU are not American! Are you for real? Think about what you just said....

Saddam killed more than 600000 people in Iraq, The sanctions were imposed because Saddam would not comply. Thats international law ad it wasn't just the Bush Administrations that imposed these sanctions, the United Nations were involved int hat decision as well. As for the depleted uranium, I have been there, the only thing that I could see that would cause any deaths would be the living conditions, hence another reason why we are in Iraq. Saddam was an evil man who let his people live like they do. I don't believe for one minuet that as much money as we found in this country, buried in walls, in the desert, that the people of this country have to live like this by choice. I was truly apalled that a leader of a country would treat his fellow countrymen in this way. We traded to Saddam food for oil, he sold the food for weapons and you complain about sanctions? Saddam will hang, he is the criminal!

Check this out dude, you, for One are very unAmerican!! Two i don't like your tone, Three you are misled on the reasons for war. This goes way beyond any of your possible accusations. There is war plan and our Presidents are one voice in it. Oh yeah and wake up how many have we saved while the sanctions were lifted? Life is forever evolving, only the fittest survive. If you don't like America and the Good Ol' Boys simply get OUT! Go live in Iraq and quit seeking the shelter of the American fighting Soldier to spread your gutless Anti-Americanisms. Oh yeah Welcome to WAR, it's not pretty.

you are right of course, though strictly speaking you have to break international law to be a war criminal which means that the boycott of Bush snr doesn't count since it was UN authorised. however, since W's war is illegal (according to Kofi Anna, UN Sec Gen), he would be a war criminal however many people he killed. his authorisation of torture and the use of white phosphorus are also war crimes/crimes against humanity. Don't forget that the US wrote most international law.

also, and unfortunately, every US soldier who serves in Iraq is a war criminal. the "just following orders" defence was resolutely rejected at the NUremberg trials so Bush has made criminals of his troops. it has been a disastrous foreign policy for long-term US interests and (in theory) Dubya could be arrested abroad (as can Kissinger) some time in the future to face trial.

You are on the money! Noam Chomsky reasons that every US president after WW2 could be successfully tried for war crimes. I am here now and think the Bushes qualify more than anybody.

Regretfully, it's my people. Our lust for money and power has caused all kinds of hell on earth. Our trickery has fooled many countries into hating who we want them to hate. Our lies have launched many a war. Our cowardliness has tricked other countries into fighting battles for us.....but.....that's the way it goes.
