Things that are only on the east coast?

Well there are many items that are indigenous to certian regions of the country (ie. Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast). I am from upstate New York and things there are even different from "down state," like NYC. Is your friend from the east cost, and relocated? Or are you trying to show a West-coaster how we do things over here? Wherever you are from send your friend something that your area is known for (Buffalo Wings, Maine Lobster, New Orleans Gumbo) or maybe you have a hometown sports team and you can send them some memorabilia. But, I can't think of any thing that the east coast has, that the west coast does not. Maybe you can send him some snow. Wait, it only snows in the Northeast.....have fun with it whatever you decide. i do no longer think of it is an East coast subject. i became born and raised in New England and my mom might on no account care approximately any of the ingredients you stated. She might care if it have been junk foodstuff. besides have some relaxing with it. next time she's around make your son a peculiar and wonderful lunch, like avocado, pear, cornflakes with 1st Baron Verulam and swiss cheese. Then ask her if she's hungry. No ask her to describe why it bothers her plenty. with the aid of the way it relatively is confusing to pay interest and answer a question whilst the asker's avatar is a warm corseted woman. So I surely deserve "perfect answer" attention.

never been to the west coast so im not sure. i did this for one of my friends though, but it was kind of romantic? lol. i bottled up sand off a beach ont he atlantic and shells and put them in a bottle and put the letter inside it (the post office does send it just like that!) ofcourse not glass but it was still cute. a pretzel from nyc? im not sure where you are located so im not sure how easy those would be to get. sorry i couldnt be more help
