Why do I feel faint when I have blood drawn for a test?
I know it doesn't have to do with the AMOUNT of blood being drawn. I know its all in my head. But what is the psychology going on here?
After fainting once at the doctors office and having a big fuss made over it, I always ask to lie down when I need to have blood drawn.

There are a lot of people who feel faint at having blood drawn. It's perfectly OK to ask to lie down for this procedure. Tell the person drawing the blood that you always feel like you're going to faint. It has nothing to do with the amount of blood being drawn though.
