Question about homeless shelters?
Do all require ID to stay? Do they run police checks for admission, or do the cops call and ask for a list of names to run an NCIC on for warrants?

no they don't,
Many have rules about taking showers, and the such, no smoking or no drinking but in general they do not run any type of checks on anyone.

no not all of them require id. and no they do not run checks on you at all. no.
shelters are for the homeless only and will be handled as such.
the law does not interfere with their case loads.
even though they are bound by all laws.
they are deemed safe by the state.
