Do you consider this (Profanity)?

A few days ago... I Saw a question in Yahoo Answers Says:

Should the USA spend YOUR tax dollars on handing out the KORAN to the prisonars in Cuba?

The Question was chocking, while the whole world is talking about

the abuse and torure which prisoners are being exposed to

the poster sees that US government is TOO TOLERANT with

prisoners in Guantanamo and with their religion because it allows them to read their holybook (Quraan) in the break time when they are not being tortured.I put an answer saying:((YOUR GOD DAMNED COUNTRY SPENT 1/3 TRILLION DOLLARS TO DESTROY IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN YOUR GOD DAMNED COUNTRY ATTACKED IRAQ BASED ON LIES AND KILLED DOZENS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS IN ONE OF THE DIRTIEST WARS EVER. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM YOU, RACIST AMERICAN MORON? WHY YOU ARE VERY GENEROUS WHEN IT COMES TO KILLING MUSLIMS AND VERY UNGENEROUS WHEN IT COMES TO HANDLING OUT THEIR HOLY BOOK?).Yahoo Answers has removed my Answer..the reason was(Profanity) Do you think My answer was (profane)?!

You said G0D DAMN8D twice. Where I grew up that was considered a profanity. It will still get censored on most network TV shows.

All of these that have been said could have been w/o using some of the words that may have made it a profanity.

A search within Y/A on the word BeachBum, and reading the answers of BeachBum can give a good idea as to how effectively ideas/thoughts could be communicated. It is understood though, that sometimes it is difficult to keep cool but it is exactly on that, the newcons are counting to discount responses like above as profanity, even though the underlying truth is undeniable.

Yes because you used the words, God- something something and it was all in capital letters.

You obviously are very disturbed by what is happening at Guantanamo Bay. Sadly, most in America are not because nobody really believes what is going on there. The media does not cover it strongly any longer. The last thing I read about the prison was a description of the double wide trailer that was being used as the military tribunal courtrooms at the prison. What was not mentioned in the article was that before any interview, trial or legal representation, the prisoners were already labled "enemy combatants" and therefore must be tried by a military court of law, rather than any outside law firm.

Here in America, at 95% of Hotels/Motels, there is a bible in every top drawer beside the bed. Religious organizations donate them because they believe that at sometime in everyones life, one ends up in a motel room, confused and in crisis. You should start a non profit organization that collects and sends religious material to the prisons you think need them.

because the way you put the words 'GOD damned' could be used in context of cursing or profanity in American language. You're analysis is irrefutably correct, your logic is flawless, but your use of language can be seen as offensive, so they removed it. Of course it is not unlikely that whoever was looking over it was one of those brainless flag-wagging die-hard American puppets, I mean patriots, and they just didn't like that you said something against America, so they deleted it and decided this time they'd grant you the liberty of coming the closest they can to a half-@ssed excuse that could be traced back to Y!A guidelines , instead of just deleting it, and leaving you with the default pre-typed hollow apology that pretty much states: we are either too incompetent, too swamped, or too biased to do any objective investigation of what you said, so we're sending you this message notifying you that your question was erased b/c we heard from some people that it might be offensive, and we just went with the flow." they have a default response of the same nature when you object to their rulings. What, did ya really think they were gonna look into it before deciding?

Don't sweat the small stuff, man. Y!A is the small stuff, take it face value, a forum overrun by idiots supervised by biased over-worked techies all over the world. It makes no impact on anything at all on earth, it's just amusing ot hang around sometimes.

It is not profanity. I don't want my tax dollars going to this prisoners who have wronged somebody so they can get a book. What tolerance do extremist Muslims have for us? They burned our bibles, our flags, they burn churches, and even shot a 70-year old nun who was going to a children's hospital. It wasn't profanity and is not intolerance. You should stop being so PC.

To be perfectly frank, you could have cut back a tad on the "God Damned."

Beyond that, Yahoo is completely capricious when it comes to deleting questions or answers. One doesn't have to look far or long to find hundreds of postings by immature people, flat-out racist postings, personal postings aimed at another user....and these seem to survive.

I started to participate in Yahoo Answers, but I'm getting increasingly disgusted regarding the spotty deletions that seem to make no sense whatsoever.

You did use profanity, you were WRONG, too. I have no compunctions about doing whatever to terrorists. I think Abu Ghraib (sp.?) was much ado about nothing. Terrorists are animals and should be treated as such.

Some people are really touchy about the expression "God damned". It doesn't sound profane to me, but to some people it's as bad as it gets. Go figure.

No, but I do think you're wrong. Our tax dollars most certainly should NOT go towards handing out the Quraan. If we can't use tax dollars to hand out copies of the bible (and we pretty much can't or else the liberals and the ACLU get all up in arms) then it certainly isn't fair that we should use tax dollars to hand out the Quraan.

Though I do understand your point and frustration, yes I do thank its profane. And something to remember, our country is acting in defense, and our country did not kill anyone, our government did. Some of us care for all human race regardless their race or nationality. I would hope you truly don't believe that we are all horrible people, that would be racist and untrue.
