I bought a memory foam pad because my mattress was still good, just make sure you buy tempur pedic the density is the best and a good two inch mattress pad on a good mattress is just as comfortable as the whole mattress and much less expensive. I just love mine and I even have the cushions now there is nothing better to sleep on. I bought mine on a shopping channel. I've never regretted it.

My husband and I bought a Novaform mattress "topper" because at the old age of 25 I was diagnosed as having an arthritic shoulder. We have a king-sized firm mattress and it has helped a lot, but before I moved in with my husband, I had a queen sized pillow top mattress, and to this day, that is the most comfortable mattress I've slept on. I'd go with a pillow top mattress.

I want to warn you, I have a memory foam mattress and do not like it. My husband loves it, but he sleeps on his back. I sleep on my stomach, and when I wake up, I have lower back pain. I don't know why this would be, but the lower back pain has been around for the exact amount of time we've had the mattress.

The memory foam mattress' are good and comfy to sleep on, but they hold in the heat and get REALLY warm. Which is not too great in summer.

Yes, I have a memory foam bed and I LOVE it. I would never go back to a spring bed. The extra cost is worth it.

Yes, I had a mattress made of this for two years now and its very good. It took about 8 weeks to get used to it, I thought I'd wasted my money, but after a while, the body becomes accustomed to its characteristics and it does support your whole body.

I have a temrerpedic bed and I love it. My back feels great in the morning and i am rested. It is expensive, a queen size one cost us $2k usd. My wife needed it for her back and it lasts 20 years, so it is worth it for us. If cost is an object a firm mattress or futon bed are very good for the back too.
