Help! Chocolate milk stains.......?

My son spilled a good bit of chocolate milk on his light tan colored cargo pants. I washed them but the stain must have been too set in because it didn't come out at all and the pants are not wearable now. Any suggestions? Thanks!

what i usually use is this cleaning solution called "simple green" it works great on clothing stains and with cleaning your house. the only thing you can't use it on is wood. since you have already washed and dryed your sons pants that stain may not come out though. in the future just treat the stain before you dry it, even if you wash it and it does not come out you can still treat it again as long as it's not been dryed. that's what sets the stain. good luck

    Does Chocolate Milk Stain

Best to treat the stain before you wash and dry the item. Once washed and dried, the stain is usually set in for good. I soaked chocolate milk stained white jeans in "Vanish NapiSan Oxi Action" for about 2 days. On day 3 there was only a light chocolate stain left. I then used "Exit Stain Remover Soap" on the remaining stain - that removed the remaining light chocolate stain. Then I washed the jeans in the wash machine on the cold water setting. I dried them in the direct sun so that the sun would further bleach them. They are as good as new - no sign of any of the chocolate milk stains.

Hopefully you haven't put through dryer yet! Use a pre-treatment like Shout and rub into stain. Let solution sit and follow directions. You may also just work into stain your favorite liquid detergent and let set for an hour. Make sure to work into stain with scrubbing motion or brush applicator. I will usually add solution to each side of garment to make sure of penetrating problem stain in material. Good luck. You can also use a color safe bleach to help out your wash.

I would soak white pants in a warm water bucket for an hour before washing them. Something that helps get our stains out is soaking detergent right on the spot and letting it sit for 10 min before throwing into the wash. Other things that work : rubbing dawn in the stain or tide alternative

I use mean green for almost all of lifes little messes. Sometimes on the really tuffies I add Dawn Dish detergent. Dawn even gets grease stains!

Well, you can try it all.

My youngest has ruined a few things with chocolate milk...NO STAIN REMOVER will get it out, if it sat long enough before you caught it. So sorry!

My grandmother always said "Ice cubes. Keep them on there and let them melt into the stain, then wash it. It'll take out even blood or red wine!" Good luck!

put white powder on it so that it doesn't show much
