my windows vista won't activate. why?????

The first respondant is correct, the only people who are currently allowed to use Vista are those selected IT and corperate users hand chosen by Microsoft. The first release to OEMs will be at the end of this month. It is obvious you are using a pirated or illegal copy of Vista, if you are not a chosen IT or corperate user. If you were a corperate or IT user then you would have full access to the Microsoft Vista Team and would find it very easy to activate your copy of Vista or go to them for any troubleshooting needs, not here to Yahoo! Answers.

I am very sorry, but nobody here will be able to assist you in activating your copy of Vista. However, I wish you much success with Vista when you do get a legitimate copy. I am sooo looking forward to getting Vista myself!! ;-)

I have been avidly following the developement of Vista and know all about Vistas cool features, and have been using the Vista Readiness Tool to make sure my current computers are ready for upgrading to Vista when it comes available later this year to individual buyers. However, untill then, only manufacturers who build and sell computers, like Dell, HP, Compaq, ect will be getting the first released copies of Vista for installing in commercially sold computers.

Where did you get your copy of Vista from. At the current time it is only available to corporations who have large scale licenses. Since it is not available for sale you may not have a legal copy and therefore it will not activate itself.

You are the only one who can answer this.... Is your vista is original or not,,, if it is cracked version and you used Patch or key generator to activate it,, then you must prevent it from going to microsoft web site coz they will detect it again,,, even if you escape the first activation,,,,

Maybe because is not genuine!?
