Why would I pay more for the PS3 instead of getting a 360? I've not had a game system in a while, I had the PS1 and the xbox, I have no particular alligence to either? Can anyone tell me which way they would lean and why?

go with the 360. the ps3 is way too much money and has stuff you dont even need. there are alot of bugs with the ps3, like the controllers always disconnect and many ps2 games dont work on it. also, xbox 360 has just as good, if not better games (like gears of war), and its 300 dollars cheaper!!!! the ps3 has a bunch of fancy crap u dont even need, like internet(which is slow and hard to control with the ps3 controller). XBOX 360 ALL THE WAY!

PS3 has the new movement sensitivity pad and from how i look at it has better games than the 360 plus you can still use all the PS2 games that you have on it plus its got blue rey technology wich is the best DVD player in the world at this point

I SAY GET THE PS3 ITS THE BEST BUT THATS FOR ME, YOU SAY YOU HAD A PS1 AND THE XBOX WHICH ONE YOU LIKE ME? THAT IS THE ANSWER TO UR QUESTION. LIKE ME IT WOULD BE PS3
