The first thing you should do is contact the telephone company, let them know that you are getting harassing calls and would like a tracer put on your phone. They will trace your line for 30 days, usually free of charge (depending on the phone company you use). Within that time, document every call that she makes to your home, you can record them if you like, it's all evidence against her. File a police report with your local police department. Get a copy of the trace records, and the police report and file for a personal protection order, take a copy of the signed order to the authorities and have it placed into the lien computer, when she calls again... contact the court and let them know that she violated the order and they will possibly issue a warrant for her arrest, or set a court date for her to appear. I know this will be difficult considering that she lives in a different state, and it is terrible to have to go through all this to get your point across.. but maybe if she sees the lengths you will go to in order for her to stop... maybe she will. I hope this information was helpful to you. You may also contact the police in her area after you have set the PPO in place to let them know about it. Be sure to serve her at least by certified mail, so that you can prove to the court that she received a copy of it.

Contact your local Police Dept. Go to the D.A.'s office and file for a Restraining Order. They may install a Trap on the phone line. The courts will take it from there....

Do you have a fax machine? Set the phone up to your fax machine for like 1 ring - or your computer set to receive faxes. You and the Mrs. can giggle as you imagine your ex's face as the fax screams in her ear at 3am. After a couple days I am pretty sure she will cut back - but I would leave it set up like that for a while. She will think you will stop after a couple days and start again. Keep it on for a month or more and she will surely stop completely.

    Peace!

Court Restraining order. Police they can arrest for harassing phone calls, Make sure you have proof like Caller Id and record the ex when she calls.

ost answering machines have a memo button you can press while you are on the phone to record it.

You call up your lawyer. You present evidence of the behavior -- recorded phone calls, phone messages, etc. You get a restraining order.

Finally, you get caller ID and don't answer the phone. If she can't get her gratification, then she'll eventually stop doing the act.

Hopefully, she finds someone else to terrorize soon.

I would try your local prosecutor's office.Such as state's attorney,or try to file complaint at the "circuit clerk's office.

If she's calling from anonymous number go to

donotcall.gov.com it will give you 1 800 # to block all annonymous phone calls.

Since it is across state lines, you will need to call the FBI.When you report this,DO NOT LIE to them because that is a felony which can net a five year prison sentence.

First you should check your divorce agreement. Most as in mine have some wording stating that neither party shall harrass, or do other nasty to the other. If so I think you could have her charged with comtempt of court.
