Does anyone understand Bible Prophecy?

Some excellant books discussing prophecy are Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy; Revelation - Its Grand Climax at Hand! which discuss much of what you ask above.

Anther 2 volume set is called Isaiah’s Prophecy—Light for All Mankind I and Isaiah’s Prophecy—Light for All Mankind II.

My, but you're all over the board with this, aren't you? Ezra 7 is about the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the Babylonian Captivity. I'm not sure that it has any modern application. Daniel, however IS about the future. 9:25 describes the time from the commandment by Artaxerxes [sp] to the coming of the Messiah would be seven weeks [of years] plus threescore and two weeks. That works out to 49 + (62 *7) or 483 years. Which brought us to 33 AD, the day that Jesus rode a donkey into the City of Jerusalem.

Dan 8:14 talks about 2300 days, which is about 6.3 years. That sounds like a reference to the Tribulation. But it's been awhile for me.

Rev 14:6 could easily refer to satellite communications. Remember, 'angel' simply means 'messenger'. I know TBN likes to claim this scripture as their own.

Not sure what 'old testament types' means, but I'm pretty sure the Lord is preparing a little surprise for the people of the earth. Good for some. Not so good for others.

That's alot to answer: It's been a couple years since I studied Daniel in depth and I don't have any reference material with me so...off the top of my head:

1. Ezra 7, I don't believe is a prophecy, but actual events. Rev. 14:6-9 speaking about the last days when the good news wil be preached to all peoples and then judgement will come upon Babylon the Great or World empire of false religion and anyone worshiping the wild beast and its image, or involved in worlds political system will share their fate.

Dan 8:14, 9:25 I believe has to do with the calculating of the end of the Jewish system....

2. Jesus is ruling in heaven as king of God's Kingdom awaiting the signal from God start the Great Tribulation & Armeggedon.

1 Cor 15: 24-26 "Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing."

Isa. 9:6, 7 "To us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be upon his shoulder..."

Dan 7: 13, 14 "With the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happen to be coming.....And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him."

Dan 2: 44 "And in the days of those kings the god of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people, It will crush and put a end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."

this is for us after your new details...are you suffering from possibly, ego fishing, because the bible is simply, a telescopic view of the consciousness of man, all storys in the old testement are parts of the common subconciousness in all humans, if you eat from the tree of knowledge, judging others with this knowledge of good and evil, you will be creating a tower of bable, all the people taking part in this exercise, are creating a hell, to find heaven, it must be undersdtood as earth without judgement, were everyone is in the understanding of unconditional love. and this is exactly what the revelation is all about, stop reading the bible on the surface, it must be digested into your guts, it was written from the heart of people fearing their own mortality. The truth is that you have always been in existance, but at the time of your upbringing(domestication) you began reading the bible from a man made view, not a gods view, which is everlasting, my point...if people want to go on trying to prove of disprove the bible and god, they miss the point of the bibles reletivity, to be in heaven, with god(the living existance)you must let go of reason(ego driven need) and let the energy of god direct you.. most of this conversating is the example of being thrown out of heaven, people like to think they know what is real while living in the beast of mans fear(civilization). To find god and reality, the mouth must shut, the ego must be observed objectivly, and the heart for the living earth must emerge. all the prophesy and bible thumping in the world of man will never save an individual from the hell of the ego, in my opinion, we are all correct in our search for truth, but truth must be seen as one understanding, that is everlasting, GOD I AM> thank you for reading my words

It's clear what they mean if you take them literally. They mean that the prophets had no more idea of what would happen in the future than you or I do (although they might have had better pharmaceuticals).

Why is it that Christians don't see a problem reinterpreting Daniel but fight to the death for Genesis?

if you ask me all the bible prophecies have come to pass but wait they where all fake none of it happened the way people think

the book of revelation was about the rise and fall of Rome its not about the future sorry to burst your ego but its true though. the idea that prophecies exist is just plain sillyness and a real prophecy would have to have a date time and place it happens the bible has none of it so the prophecies of the bible are fake and wrong.
