I cannot seem to get streaming video to play without a lot of pauses. I supposedly have DSL, how do I fix?

Another thing is verify that you are choosing the right version. Often sites have a dial-up a broadband and a T1 version of video. You obviously want the broadband version. It is also possible that it may be the actual video and that there is nothing you can do about that. We have a T1 connection at work and I sometimes have delays in streaming video. I hope this helps you. If your connection speed is slow, I would contact your Internet Service Provider about slow connection. They may not help you, because they often state that you will have up to a certain speed, but they do not guarantee any speed.

not enough info to go on. u cant get streaming video when using real player, windows media player, from websites, etc...? both windows media and real player have an option to download vidoes 30 seconds ahead of time before it actually starts playing. but even then, if u have dsl, videos should start playing right away with no problem. u have a slow connection and u need to find out why.

Any number of things but unless you provide details about your PC like how much ram you may not find the prob. My first suggestion would be to turn some of that crap off you have runnin in the background! You probably have a messenger or 2, some file sharing crap, etc....read up on ram and rom or take a basic computer course!

other things to consider: Possibly need added ram (or better video card w/ more on-board ram).

Maybe let the video buffer a bit more before playing.

Maybe you have an app running that is hogging your ram. (close it)

Or in fact it could be your connection speed settings. All are worth a second look at.

You probably chose too high a streaming speed for your DSL. Knock it down a notch or two.

Ok , when you get that , is because your internet connection is slow for the website you are trying to view the video
