  • Good 3-4 way 6.5 door speakers/sub woofers?

I have an 08 Scion XB and would like to replace the 4 stock 6.5 speakers with some really good 3-4 way 6.5 speakers that have good bass. Basically bass almost equivalent to if I had a 10" sub in the trunk. If you know anything about Scion XB s, they have small trunk space. So I would like to go with either really good 3-4 way 6.5 speakers that have good bass so I don t have to get a sub woofer. Or I wouldn t mind getting a low profile 10" sub with some 3-4 way 6.5 s that have good highs. I already have a 4 ch amp but will probably get a different depending on the wattage of the 6.5 s.

  • Extended desktop with a 3rd monitor in another room?

How would one go about setting up an extended desktop display on a desktop computer, and then have a 3rd monitor in another room that s about 3 feet away? I know a 3rd party program will have to be used to see whats being done on the 3rd monitor. But what would be the best physical hook up?

  • Is it possible to burn out/mess up your transmission/clutch on a manual transmission car by always holding in the clutch at a stop light?

My friends mom has a manual 1999 VW Jetta. Her mom has already had her clutch change out on the car 3 times within 5 years. She thinks that her mom is burning out the clutch by keeping it held in, everytime she is at a light. Is that possible? From what I've gathered online, you can only burn out components of the clutch, but not the actual clutch.

I told her, that her mom is probably riding the clutch in between shifting and or not releasing it quick enough between shifting. She is an older woman.

Are these the results of a bad hard drive from CrystalDiskInfo?

So I was having a problem with my laptop running really really slow. No viruses/malware/etc... I suspected it was the hard drive. I downloaded some software I can't locate, that confirmed the issue.

I purchased a used hard drive from eBay and the laptop is running better, but I can tell it's not running as it should. So I also suspect this hard drive is bad seeing I bought it used. Can anyone tell me from the info that is shown on the screen shot, taken from the progoram CrystalDiskInfo means the drive is bad?

  • Mini refrigerator not cooling after being unplugged, cleaned & plugged in days later.?

I have a mini refrigerator that I've been using for years w/o any problems. I recently decided to get a new one that I thought was bigger on the inside. I started using the new one and forgot to leave the doors open to the old one, which sat in my room for about a week. Mold developed and I took it outside to clean it. I cleaned the inside of the fridge using a water hose. I took care to make sure that too much water didn't get into area's it shouldn't get, especially the back. Since then, I have plugged it in & its not cold. I can hear it running on the inside. The sound is like a combo of hearing air along with water running through a pipe. That same sound as if you were in a basment full of pipes and someone turns on the water. I believe that's how it should normally sound. The big thingy in the bottom back of the fridge which I think is the condenser is hot to the touch. The inside of the fridge is cool & not cold. I'm not understanding why it is not getting cold at all, if all I did was unplug it, clean it & plug it back in days after I cleaned it. The fridge was never turned side ways during the cleaning.

  • Weird egg looking thingys on filter after buying live plants.?

I have a 20G long aquarium that I've had set up for over a year now that I just purchased some live plants for a few days ago. I didn't take them out of their pots until just today. When I got back home hours later, I happen to notice a bunch of small egg like thingy's stuck to my filter. Tripped out for a bit because I didn't know what they were. Looked on yahoo answers and someone else had a similar question & received a response that they could be snail eggs. Is there any truth to that? How come I didn't see all these eggs when I was busy taking the plants out of their pots? I usually take off as much of the pot stuffing as I can b4 putting plants in my tank. My tank currently has one angel fish & one black skirt tetra. I had more fish, but I'm currently in the process of switching over to a mostly planted aquarium with small tetra/guppy sized fish. Will be taking out the angel fish since I will add shrimp to the tank. I feed the two fish in their flakes. So I doubt the eggs are food pellets which someone else mentioned on y answers. My tank also has black beauty sand.

I actually do remember seeing one tiny live snail on my aquariums glass shortly after buying the plants. Didn't think nothing of it. I don't mind because I also thought about having some snails in the tank. Should I get rid of most of them? And if I do, how would I go about doing that? Would I have as many snails in my tank as their are eggs? Below are links to a pic of my filter & the 3 plants I purchased, since I can't remember their names. I just know one is baby tear.

  • Laptop lcd not working, but external monitor works.?

I have an HP laptop that was just working just fine the other day. When I turn on the laptop, the screen is lit up black. I hooked up an external monitor to the laptop and its booting/working normally. Would a bad lcd cause a black screen, or would this be an lcd inverter issue? I also happen to notice the ground plug on the adapter is sawed off. Possible cause?

I have a laptop my friend wants to send to Mexico. He wants the o.s. to be completely in Spanish. How would I do this? Do I need to obtain a Spanish version of Windows XP? Or can this simply be done through the "Regional and Language Options" of XP?

  • Which processor 4 my mobo on this list would be the fastest or latest?

I just bought an Asus P5N-D motherboard. I'm using my old P4 3.0Ghz Processor. I would like to eventually upgrade to a 64-bit processor. The link provided shows a list of all compatible processors this mother board will fit. After Pentium 4 processors came out, I lost track, since they use all these different names for processors now. Which processor on this page would be 64-bit and be the fastest for this motherboard excluding the Celerons?

  • Where 2 hard-wire accessories other than cigarette adapter?

I would like to know where there is any other place inside my car that I could hard-wire some accessories to, other than to the cigarette adapter and or radio. I have a GPS device that I would like to hard-wire, so that it will only be charging or getting 12V when I start my car. All in all, the idea is prevent me from always having to plug it in when needed, or to unplug it when not needed and or to prevent over charging. I currently have a navigational mirror that I had before the GPS that is hardwired to the radio and would like to stay away from hard-wiring everything to that spot. I'm not familiar with all of the wiring under my steering wheel, but I figure there must be a wire under there I can tap into that gives 12V when started. Would be very time consuming to test / tap into every wire till I get 12V. I have a 98 Dodge Neon R/T.

  • Car loosing power at take off.?

I have a 98 Dodge Neon R/T. Lately when I take off from stand still, it will hesitate to go when I press the pedal. This usually happens when the car is in 1st gear, sometimes 2nd, and rarely in 3rd. The car will do this going up hill. Sometimes when I take off from a stand still, I have to push the gas pedal more than normal. Once the car gets going, it will be fine.

I thought it would be the fuel pump, but this mechanic told me that since my fuel pump is electronic, it would not fluctuate, it would just simply go out completely. Is there any truth to this? Last I remember, electronic components can have intermittent problems.

My fuel pump is submersed inside of the gas tank, it does not use a fuel filter. Just a fuel strainer that's attached directly to the fuel pump. I've always put fuel system cleaner in my car about every 6 months. So I doubt its the fuel injectors.

What else could be causing this problem? Dirty air filter? Spark-plugs (mechanic said that), fuel pressure (don't have the tool or know how to check that), fuel pump relay?

  • Can subtitles be hard coded when burning an avi to dvd using ConvertXtoDVD4?

I've seen a lot of people mentioning and telling other users to use ConvertXtoDVD4 cuz its so easy to use and u can burn subtitles. I just used the program and it did happen to burn the subtitles, but it didn't hard code them. Is it possible for this program to hard code subtitles? If so, how would I do it? I understand the subtitles will always be on the screen which is fine. And spare me the details of other programs I could use. I just wanna know if its possible for this program to even do it, and how to do it?

  • 98 dodge neon rt clutch cable / hydraulic fluid?

I have a 2 door 98 Dodge Neon R/T. I was driving it, and when I went to push in the clutch, I heard a pop/snapping sound. Next thing you know, my clutch pedal isn't working any more. I can move the clutch pedal up and down with one finger. My last neon was a 4 door 98 Dodge Neon R/T and used a clutch cable for the clutch which I easily replaced. I'm almost positive / assuming that my 2 door neon also uses a clutch cable, but I am not sure. Every place I've called says my car uses hydraulic fluid. As many times as I have been under the hood of my car, I've never seen a reservoir for hydraulic fluid. Does anyone know if this car uses a clutch cable or hydraulic fluid?

I'm assuming that even if my car does use hydraulic fluid, that has nothing to do with the popping/snapping sound I heard just before the clutch pedal went out. So what else could it be?

  • Does LinkSys make a router similar to the Netgear RangeMax?

I was looking in to buying a Netgear RangeMax router for a friend of mines. I became kinda of suspicious/curious when I seen that there was a big price difference between the Netgear WNR854T & WNR834M routers which have almost the same specs/features. Come to find out when I research these routers, I find that most people are complaining about them, saying that they overheat, have problems at long distances (which is what they are made for) & aren't lasting for more than a year.

Is there any other wireless routers (preferably linksys) that have a long distance feature or are good at when it comes to sending signals through walls/floors?

I've heard of something called a repeater, but I don't know to much about those.

All in all, my friend manages an apartment complex. Her office is downstairs and she lives on the 3rd floor. She wants to see if she can hook up a wireless router in the office (1st floor) and get the signal to her apt on the 3rd floor.

Regardless she will need a router, but wants to see if this will work before getting internet hooked up in her apartment to use with her laptop.

  • Is shutter island a remake or based off another movie?

When they 1st started advertising commercials for shutter island on t.v., I could swear that I have seen the movie before. I don't know how its possible or when. But when me and my g/f was watching tha movie for the 1st time, I was able to tell her what the movie was about and how it was gonna end. I ain't no physic or n e thing, so the only possible explanation is that this movie is a remake or based off of an older movie. Is it?
