Extended desktop with a 3rd monitor in another room?
How would one go about setting up an extended desktop display on a desktop computer, and then have a 3rd monitor in another room that s about 3 feet away? I know a 3rd party program will have to be used to see whats being done on the 3rd monitor. But what would be the best physical hook up?

Just using standard computer monitors with vga/dvi inputs. The motherboard has a pci-e x16. I'm more so asking if I'm going to need two graphics cards two do this or one graphics card. I've seen graphics cards with vga, dvi and hdmi outputs, but I don't think you can use all 3 outputs at one time. It shouldn't matter what os the computer is running since I'm more so concerned about what hardware would be needed, graphics card wise to do this. But it's running Windows 7. Yes there is a wall but there is a hole in the wall. I know this setup can be easily acomplised using graphics cards that have multiple display port outputs, but it's all basic inputs/outputs. vga, dvi, hdmi and pci-e x16 and a 1x slot.
