What month is considered off season for Hawaii? or When is the cheapest time to come visit?

My daughters wish is to go to Hawaii but of course I'm straped for cash when I need it the most, but I want to get her to Hawaii to at least touch the island, sooner the better but when's the best time when Hawaii isn't so expensive?

The cheaper rates: After Martin Luther King weekend (January) until Spring Break (end of March). April through mid-May. End of September through Thanksgiving. Anytime there is no holiday and not during summer and winter.

If you want least touch, I highly recommend the Big Island (Hawaii) or Kauai. I honestly love the Big Island because there is so much to see especially if you are into nature (waterfalls, black/white/green sand) plus there is an active volcano which you can actually see the lava flow. Oahu is the busiest followed by Maui. Lana'i is very expensive and Molokai is way too small.

With Hawaii's tourism rates at an all-time high, it may be difficult to find a cheap rate. But do some research and you can find deals out. Check Internet sites then the airline and hotel sites to do a price comparison. Good luck!

The slowest time is right after Thanksgiving. However if you book now there probably will not be the discount that will show up in the early fall when it is obvious no one is going. Late September and October can be slow.

Christmas, Spring breaks, Ski weeks, Washington's birthday and early summer are usually the periods with no "discounting" or "sales". From the West Coast $500 - $600 is a good acceptable average for flights to Hawaii, Maui or Kauai. Below $500 is great and you should grab it. $700 and over; only if you really want to go on those dates. Honolulu should be about $75 less than to the other islands.

Even after you buy a ticket keep going back and repricing your itinerary. If it drops below what you paid the airline should issue you credit for the difference to be used for future travel.

I lived in Hawaii for three years, there is no ‘off season’.

People from all over the world there all the time. It never stops, or slows down.

The big island rocks, Oahu sux. (Halloween in Honolulu is mind blowing though)

Just go when you get the money.

The waves are huge in the winter. Its really the only difference between the seasons. Bigger waves.

85 degrees during the day, 70 at night. Every day, every night.

Would have stayed if not for all the violence toward non-native people.

Late April or early May. It is warmer in the rest of the country and school is not out yet.

December around xmas time isn't bad time to go. Right after it is crowded but right before it was very empty and quite nice.
