World Trade Center in movies?
I have a small movie collection. I have noticed the World Trade Center seen in some movies made before 9/11. Armageddon shows it damaged by a meteor shower. AI showed it in ruins in a future ice age. Trading Places has a seen that takes place inside it. Several movies show it in the background, such as Trick.
What other movies made before 9/11 show the World Trade Center? Are there others that show it damaged or destroyed? Are there others that had scenes that take place inside?
Are there any movies made aftyer 9/11 that accidently used old footage of the buildings still standing?
Thank you!

The most famous scene of the World Trade Center is showcased when King Kong carries Jessica Lange to the top of the towers in the 1976 remake of "King Kong". This was the first time in movie history the World Trade Center was featured so prominently in a film. An honorable mention goes to the now classic 1987 romantic Comedy "Moonstruck". In the film Cher is looking out a window at the Manhattan skyline and the World Trade Center is visible.

To your last question... I don't know about "accidentally", but I do know that Scorcese's "Gangs of New York" very deliberately shows them at the very end (that's not a spoiler, don't worry). That movie was made after 9/11.
I think the Spielberg movie "AI: Artificial Intelligence" had the WTC.
