You definetely don't avoid problems. You can avoid the activities that typically lead to "problems", but once you have the problem you should deal with it head on. Because you know the depressing feeling of when you really have an issue, but if you suppress it or avoid it, you are reliving that depressing feeling over and over again-- instead of only feeling it once and taking charge.

Another way to look at problems is to look at them as challenges. Do you like a challenge? Challenge yourself to deal with problem the best you can. If you don't know how to deal with the problem, ask yourself "if I did know how to deal with it, what would I do?" This takes away that barrier and allow your creative energy to flow. Then take charge.

Another thought is not to feel "poor me". The universe we live in is perfect. Perfect!! Things happen for a reason. Look at each circustance as a teachable moment for yourself. We live in an intelligent system.

Start being positive right now. Smile and laugh. Life is too short to be constantly concerned about problems.

Yeah, I don't think anyone really likes dealing with things if they are upsetting to them. Some problems I'd rather deal with to get them out of the way, but others I tend to want to avoid. I always feel better though if I just face them head-on.

I think it's best to try to find the positive in the situation. And to organize your ideas about how to deal with it. Then just be at peace knowing that you are doing all you can do about it.

Ay yi yi, I avoid all confrontations at all costs. I try to pretend that the problem isn't there, then it usually snowballs.

In regards to money, for years I just would try to push the issue out of my mind and think to myself that I would deal with it later. I am still lousy about balancing the checkbook, but at least I have no debt either (for a change!).

I could never be a president of a company, a politician or a person that is a true leader that has to deal with problems on a regular basis ... I just couldn't handle it.

I like the Ostrich approach. Head in the sand...wait for the dust to settle...hoping the sun will come out and that a strong wind won't knock me on my *** so I have to deal with the problem. Not really the best way to handle things I might add.

Of course - it is only natural to try to avoid a discomforting situation - however it is a sign of maturity to work through a situation and work towards it completion.

well i try to avoid them but sometimes they're to big to avoid and theres a point that you just cant take anymore and you have to face it even if it hurts.

I leave all my problems in God's hands and let him work them out. Then I have really no problems.
