School violence is at an all time high and school administrators worry more about collateral damage than student safety. If you were challenged to "walk out for safety", would you?

I have a perent teacher confrence and have spoken to this "teacher on a number of occasions to no avail. She is a bully - that is why I put teacher in quotes. She picks on kids and encourages students to do the same. She will not accurately record my childs grades and she over uses the "F" word fail. She tells the class that they will fail in life - that isn't approriate. I have spoken to the principal and he does nothing. She is tenure so I know she has to die or retire. How to I help my child survive her and what do I say to this person?

How do I find the answer?

If they are going to ban human contact why not just close the schools - turn them into apartment buildings and let kids self teach? It would certinlay make "educators"safer. What do you think!

It has been a problem for so many years adults tend to think of bulling as a "norm" and acceptable part of growing up. That all began to change after Columbine or did it? We are all more aware but what can we do to really make a difference and stop the bullies before someone kills them to stop them? What can we do - how do we help victims feel there is a better way out than the desperate acts we have been reading and hearing about?
