How can I improve terrible echo in a high ceiling room?
one wall is glass windows, the floor is hardwoodm I have put rugs all over the place and we have furniture but to no aavil, more than one conversation is impossible.

you need some absorbtive material up high - glu-on acoustical tile or fabric wrapped panels for the upper walls - or some kind of hanging fabric up high that will absorb the reflective noise off the hard ceiling.

Try hanging quilts or tapestries on the walls. Hang draperies across the glass wall.

easy the only thing you have to do is add mofe furniture. And the best thig to do is drapery.
