Are there any good books devoted to biracial hair and skin care?
My brother and sister-in-law are adopting a biracial (African American & Caucasian) baby in December. Since they are both Caucasian, I'm afraid that they will assume that washing his hair daily would be ok, but I know that's not the case.
So, do you know of any good books that would explain how caring for their child's skin and hair will be different than caring for their own?

2 AnswersHair1 decade agoCan I wait until Monday to take him to the vet, or is it serious enough to go to the emergency vet now?
My 3 year old male (neutered) cat is having trouble urinating. When he tries, he only dribbles a little bit of bright orange urine.
We locked him in a room last night with wet food, water, and a fresh litter box. He finished all of the food, so he's still eating. But he did not drink any of the water. It was obvious that he had only been able to dribble little bits at a time in the litter box.
Because he is still eating and he seems to have his regular amount of energy, is it ok if we wait until Monday morning to take him to the vet? Or is this serious enough to take him to an emergency vet today?
Until this point, he has been a very healthy cat.
22 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow does one get the stench of sewer water out of a brick cellar?
The city's sewer water backed up into our brick cellar. We've closed off the drain, and we've cleaned up most of the water with a shop vac. Does anyone have ANY idea how to get rid of this nasty stench?
I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions you may have!!

12 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoDoes anyone have any good interviewing tips?
I have been out of the workforce for several years while raising a family. I'm finally looking to go back to work, and I am hopeful that I will get an interview with the most recent place that I applied. It is a social service agency serving developmentally disabled adults. This is right up my alley - while I didn't get a degree in social work, I was a senior when I dropped out of school. I have experience working in another social service agency, as well.
If you have any good tips at all about interviewing, I would greatly appreciate hearing them!
Thanks.
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoI am looking for "regal" sounding names for my kitten. Any suggestions?
I am adopting a female tortie (black, brown, a little orange) kitten. I believe she is going to grow up to be very regal looking, and I'd like to give her a name that will suit her later in life. (She's only 8 weeks, so she's just a little meowy fluffball at the moment!)
Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
27 AnswersCats1 decade agoDo you know of any home remedies for eczema?
I have horrible eczema on my arm. It is driving me insane. I take a daily antihistamine, and I moisturize constantly. I don't use soaps or lotions that are scented. I'm doing all of the "right" things, but it isn't going away.
I recently moved, and I discovered that no one in my area takes my medical insurance...thus no prescription steroid creams for me. The OTC steroid creams don't work at all.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions?
Thanks so much!
4 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoWhat can I do to keep my cat from trying to run outside all the time?
Yes, he is neutered. He is very happy in our home - he has a brother that he romps and plays with, and plenty of people who love him. He has lots of windows to look out. But if we're not paying close enough attention, he bolts out the door! He stays close...he doesn't usually go more than a house or two away. But he's a dark gray cat, and I'm afraid he'll get hit when he bolts out at night!
12 AnswersCats1 decade agoMy Cabrio washer keeps giving me the LF error. Is there a way to disable the LF function?
I'm tired of having to babysit my washing machine! I don't CARE if it is taking a long time to fill - I don't want to go back to change the laundry over only to find it STOPPED because the water didn't enter fast enough. Help!
