Interesting. But I don't think there was anything (at the time or within 1,000 years) that said any city was spared. Not to mention that marine animals could not have survived the fresh and salt water mixing. Also, why did Noah include those d*mn roaches?! Oh, there's also the story of Gilgamesh. It was about the same area but a thousand years older. Archeologist's have never found evidence of a single world wide flood-just massively huge floods at different times. And each culture has their own story about it. And, if there had been enough water to cover everything, the weight difference would knock the earth off orbit. Good writing. Now, if only it was told as the myth that it is, maybe more people would appreciate it.

The length I'm uncertain of, yet I know this is the period of the Nephlim. Which fallen angels procreated with humans and their offspring pretty much ran amok on Earth. The fallen angels along with their would be prodigies, made life on Earth fairly miserable in the sense of the masses being under their direct control. Given these events God told Moses to build an ark and he was going to put an end to the fallen angels plans to not only taint the human race with their seed, but many speculate this was also done to prevent the fulfillment of the "PROMISED SEED" in the coming of Jesus Christ. Still though, the 120 years may have been where he said this was the period of life he would allow for the hybrids of humans and angels....
