If you mean that we really should be pointing at ourselves, then yes.

Often, what we criticize others for, are the things we don't like about ourselves.

I think we could all learn a thing or two if we took a closer look at ourselves. But, of course, it's easier to see the fault in other people than in ourselves.

I'm not sure what exactly that means, but I have chossen the following meaning - that we often point the finger at other people by picking at other peoples faults and criticising them, when in fact, we should be looking at ourselves and trying to better ourselves. People tend to think that they are so perfect and always talk and critisize other people. Just leave them alone - live and let live. I think that people should really look at themselves before hating on other people. I strongly belive on what goes around comes around. Just as we have a mouth, eyes and a tounge, other people also have a mouth, eyes, and a tounge. I.e just as we see other people's bad acts, and faults, and then we speak about other peoples bad characters to other people, i.e. gossip, other people can do the same to you. So, if the quote is what I think it means, then I agree.

Hmmm ... I can't say whether I 'agree' or 'disagree' with it ... but if it means that too often we 'lay blame' for something wrong, when we should be 'pointing the thumb (up) for doing something right, then yes, I DO AGREE WITH IT. Thumbs up for your question.

I think you mean we should be looking where the thumb is pointing. If you just point the thumb it amounts to the same thing. If that is what you mean then you are absolutely right.
