It's going to be so huge that it wouldn't make sense for it to be on the earth today because it would extend beyond the atmosphere that now surrounds the planet. The Bible says that the New Jerusalem will be a cube as high as it is long and wide and the measurement for each of those dimensions is about 1,400 miles.

Revelation 21:16 The city lies foursquare; its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. Its length and width and height are equal. (17) He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement. (18) The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass. (19) The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, (20) the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. (21) And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass. (22) And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. (23) And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. (24) By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, (25) and its gates will never be shut by day--and there will be no night there. (26) They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. (27) But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

12,000 stadia is approximately 1,400 miles (2,200 kilometers)

144 cubits is approximately 200 feet (65 meters)

Jerusalem's area at present is 70.5 square kilometers.

The Jewish claim to Jerusalem is rooted in 3,000 years of history. Jewish independence in the land of Israel, which ended in 70 C.E. and was renewed in 1948, marks the longest period of sovereignty over Jerusalem by any nation. No other nation can claim such a long political existence in the recorded history of this unique city.

The Jewish claim to Jerusalem as their capital is unique. Beside the Jewish people, no other nation or state which gained political sovereignty over the area had ever made Jerusalem a capital city. Both the Arab and Mameluke empires chose to rule from Damascus, while the Ottoman ruler resided in Constantinople. Furthermore, none of these empires even granted Jerusalem the status of district capital.

The status of Jerusalem is unique. Politically and spiritually, Jerusalem was, is and always will be the capital of the Jewish people. Yet, at the same time, it plays a significant role in the religious identity of hundreds of millions of believers in the monotheistic faiths. The Arab world views Jerusalem as one -- albeit not the most significant -- of their holy places.

looking at Suzzanne's numbers as she accurately quotes from Revelation (no s please)

Its about the size of the moon, only either cubical or tetrahedral... most say cubical OR set it next to the US the Canadian border is at the top and Mexico at the bottom.... IT IS SOME CITY

just as the original holy of holies was cubical, the new Jerusalem is like a supr super super..... scaled holy of holies

each foundation has an apostles name on it

the gates are pearls, some say jewels born of suffering

the streets are paved with gold

it will be a world of love

the centerpiece of heaven, and the highest treasure of heaven is God and it is the place where the glory of god and the desire of man meet perfectly

it will be the adventure of the ages as we know God better and better throughout eternity and will never get boring

to be there, the last page of the Bible says

the people there have their robes washed

in the blood of the lamb

Glorify God, leaning on the work of His Son on the cross, believing for eternal life.

Revelation 21:15-16 reads: 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.

12,000 furlongs is equal to about 1,400 miles. Therefore, the New Jerusalem will be 1,400 miles square in all directions, including up into the air.

The New Jerusalem as spoke of in Rev.21:2 refers to spiritual bride of Christ, made up of the annointed Christians who remained faithful to death and are raised to become kings and priests with the glorified Jesus(Rev.3:12;20:6)Just as earthly Jerusalem became the seat of government in ancient Israel, the magnificent new Jerusalem and her Bridegroom make up the government of the new system of things. This is the new heaven. The 'bride comes down out of heaven',not literally but in the sense of directing attention to the earth.

Pretty big. The church already has some plans drawn up for it, including temple complexes. From what I've heard it is very expansive.

The present-day Jetusalem is the capital of Israel.

It consists of an Old City and a New City. Members of all faiths can worship there freely.

It is the most holy city to Jews, and the third most holy to Muslims.

Well, since I do not accept the NT as truth--------do not believe in your New Jerusalem theory.
