What is the Trinitarian view on those who died prior to the New Covenant and did not partake in the emblems?
Trinitarian Quote - Only those in the New Covenant he inaugurated at the Last Supper will be in his Kingdom, where he instituted a "covenant for a kingdom" through his shed blood.
What then does Trinitarians think of people like Job or the thief next to Jesus?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid Jesus lie to Martha?
Jesus said to Martha, John 11:11 - Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
Many doctrines teach when you die you go to heaven or hell. Was Jesus then lying to Martha that Lazarus was simply sleeping?
John 3:13 - No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.
Does this scripture mean everyone who died prior to Jesus suffered in hell?
Did faithful Job who would not curse God even when Satan killed his family; died and go to a fiery hell for hundreds or maybe thousands of years until Jesus died for his sin?

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan a officer give out a ticket during bad weather and not witness what took place?
PA got hit last night with a lot of snow. When my wife was driving to work (driving 30 in a 45) she slid into the median.
She called 911, put on her hazards and waited for the officer.
The officer got there and just handed her a $100.00 ticket.
I do not understand why when she caused no damage to public property (ie road median) did not hit another car with hers and when calling for help she is getting a ticket???
Ticket says:
Charge: Driving vehicle at safe speed
The ticket reads, "Driver drove m/v at such a speed in snow/ice condition a to lose control and strike median."
Since the officer did not see what occurred how can he assume she was at fault?
Thank you for any feed back....

16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre Christians just pagans in disguise?
In ancient Babylon, the feast of the Son of Ishtar was done on December 25th for her son’s birthday.
Then jump ahead hundreds of years, Rome is worshipping the birth of the Sun God, Mithras.
The first pope (some will say peter but peter never went to Rome) Pope Constantine was a Sun worshipper. Constantine renamed his worship of Mithras and gift giving holiday and called it Christmas for the Christians that he brought into the Empire.
Since Jesus (John 15:19 ) was speaking of being no part of the world and the world Worships Mithras on DEC 25th then wouldn’t they be considered pagans?
John 15:19 - “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow did Prophet Muhammad accommodate the pagan Arabs?
Contrary to the general belief, Muhammad is not a Muslim name; rather, it is an Arabian pagan name that was in use even before the birth of Islam's founder.
Contrary to the Muslim conviction that Muhammad was originally created by God as a believer in His Oneness, he is reported to have worshipped and offered sacrifices to Al-Uzza, an idol the pagans believed to be one of the three daughters of God (cf. 42:52).
One of the three hundred and sixty idols that pagans worshipped (360 for a calendar year) was called Allah. He was one of their principal deities. This deity was known as Al-Rahman-an (the merciful) and Al-Rahim (the compassionate) to the people of Northern and Southern Arabia.

Did Christ disagree with Satan concerning his ability to give him all of the Kingdoms of the World?
Matthew 4:8,9 - the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
While on this Earth, Christ admitted that someone other than himself was the current ruler of the world.
John 18:36 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place."
Just before his crucifixion, Yeshua alluded to Satan's status as the current ruler of the world:
JOHN 14:30 "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me." (NKJV)
Satan is called the God of this World.
Col 4:4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoJehovah's Witnesses...Why do you not eat blood but eat pork?
Leviticus, Chapter 11
and the pig, which does indeed have hoofs and is cloven-footed, but does not chew the cud and is therefore unclean for you.
Their flesh you shall not eat, and their dead bodies you shall not touch; they are unclean for you.
However, in the New Testament, this law was "lifted." Because of Jesus' death on the cross (and resurrection),
sacrifices were no longer needed as Jesus was the final sacrifice and faith in Him was the only way man could be pure before God. It was no longer necessary for God's people to leave by these strict rules.
Was not the eating of blood also in the old testament?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat if any, religious groups do not or have not fought in any wars?
"thou shall not kill" (Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17),
Jesus amplifies the meaning of the sixth commandment. He brings out that to commit murder means more then just killing someone, it means having an angry and unforgiving attitude towards them. The apostle John elaborates on this by writing that to hate someone is the same as murdering them (1 John 3:15).
