What about Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh as Superman?

It's all about Brandon Routh! He's tall, cute, and really good looking!... did I mention he's cute?

Christopher Reeve was good and so was Brandon. Almost both the same but sooner or later, someone will take Reeve's place. Dean Cain was probably the best, even though he did not really look like Superman, he was a great actor and had the best chemistry with Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) for any actor portraying Clark/Superman. But between Routh and Reeve, Probably Routh.

My husband is a big superman fan. I even bought him a Christopher Reeve autograph for christmas. He thought that the previews for the movie looked really stupid, but he was highly surprised after he went and saw the movie. He said that it was a very good movie.Even though we will always remember Christopher Reeve as superman, he would be very proud to know Brandon Routh played the role just as good as he!

Brandon Routh did a great job in playing Superman but I still like Christopher Reeve doing it. Rest his soul!

I don't understand why people try to compare Christopher Reeve to Brandon Routh. "Chris IS Superman!" Guess what, people? OTHER ACTORS PLAYED SUPERMAN BEFORE CHRIS! And you know what else? There were OTHER actors who played Superman in between them!!![/rant]

Both actors portrayed CK/S wonderfully, as they are the only one who play the "Superman = strong and confident, Clark = meek and clumsy" angle; the rest pretty much played the same character traits for CK/S, which should have lead Lois to the dead give away.

As a personal preference, I never compare one actor to another, as they each bring something new to the table. To say that one actor got it perfectly is too ignorant a remark. Plus, the "perfect" actor has baggage that the new actor has to live up to, and that's just stupid. Judge Brandon on HIS skills alone, like Victor ious did.

I am surprised you saw any emotions in Brandon Routh's face..., (am not mocking you - just surprised).

I watched that movie with B.R. and I agonized my way through the whole thing. I saw no real emotional connection between he and Lois Lane. It was like watching a bad pantomime of sorts (in my humble opinion) trying to convey the emotional impact of Lois marriage to another man.

The actors (most of them) their timing was way off - but that fact could have been the director's fault or perhaps the editing director.

I wont spend a penny of my money on another Brandon Routh, Superman, movie. It was that dry (to me).

Put him in a spy flick or a western, THEN I'll consider it. He would make a better James Bond than a superman any day of the week. And trust me - I am a Superman fan.

I think they did an outstanding job placing Brandon Routh as the new Superman. He did capture the whole essence for the charrie....but did you notice that he looks alot like Reeve?

To me, They are both super gorgeous. But Christopher Reeve is a legend and I still like the old version of superman with Reeve in it.
