spam blocking?

If my user

identity is in another language

will the spam mails cease. ?

I am changing my ISP next week.

Any idea how to do this ?

Update:

Thanks theedman2 and yttl. for such quick answers.

I am in INDIA. and using SPAM Monitor.

which marks the messages as spam and puts them in a different folder.

a.) It will never cease while You have the mail address at the same@your.oldprovider.us.

I use yttl, sterntaler and other for id/mail - yttl is no laguage & sterntaler (*$) is a German fairy tale character, - it did not help - I am spammed from Japan for sterntaler ;-( . Once they had found my address I had lost the race. Now i use blockers and self learning filters to reduce the adverse effects the sorting has on my time budget -sterntaler belongs to my home page - i cannot change it :-( .

b.) You just try to take care that You do not use a word/name for ID or mail@ that they can guess like MikeyMouse123. Combine a name with anything in an unusual way 1234sterntaler because all put the numeral behind;-). The first letters of a poem or prayer are good - Best use the same rationale as with choosing good passwords 1.)

c.) Changing network will give You a new start without spam - for as as long as the spammers do not know it and cannot guess the new@your.new.provider.us.

Make sure not to give the adavantage away use throw away address for lotteries and anything where You are not sure about intentions.

Keep an extra address for family, friend and boss. That tries to make sure that they are not filtered as spam.

d.) No idea about Your ISP I am from the EC (Europe).

I would assume you will get spam anyway. It's based on them having your email address as far as I know.

Do you have a specific new ISP in mind? Allvantage.com and speedfactory.com are good and inexpensive for modem connection. Bellsouth for DSL? Comcast for cable? (Not to sound like an advertisement but...) Comcast offers McAfee with its service. McAfee contains an antispam program. Food for thought.

You can change services witht the modem guys online with your connection you have now, to the internet, with a credit card. The others, just call 'em up! :-) Good Luck
