My task manager has been disabled and I want it back on. I use Windows XP. How do I fix this?

The exact error message is "Task manager has been disabled by the administrator'. we only have one user on this system.

    This is usually caused by a corrupted registry setting.

    Find taskmgr.exe in the Processes list. Or search in your System for the exe. Right mouse click on the exe and see what the settings are. It SHOULD give you access to change the settings, if not, someone has changed the Priority or the Access details
